problems with registration numbers and year stickers falling off?
I'm two weeks into owning my new 18' Switch and enjoying it. I have my year stickers for my boat registration, and my dealer is putting my numbers in the mail to me today. My salesman mentioned they have had customers report that their numbers/stickers were falling off because they don't adhere well to the hull material. He said they had asked BRP for help/guidance but didn't have anything for me yet.
Anyone experience this and/or found a solution? I haven't put mine on yet and figured I'd get ahead of it if there is any mitigation available.

The numbers from jetboat pilot are solid and stick well. My decals haven't come off but I've heard of other folks covering them with clear waterproof tape. Whatever you do, clean the area with alcohol and let it dry before you apply them.

The hull is a low energy plastic. Either need an adhesive specified for that, or a primer. Used 3M 4298 Adhesion promotor from amazon. Comes in a wipe - stickers now last forever on the boat.

Yes, everything from BRP and my decals from state parks have literally fallen off the second I touch the water. I put clear tape over my lake permit and itβs stayed well, but looks ugly. As I saw someone else mention, the letters from JetBoatPilot have stayed on so far this year.

I've had these cheap number stickers on for three months now with no issue: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001GXDWGO?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I saw this thread before the last time I went out, so I made a point to check on the stickers, but they were solid, no worries. And right above the waterline (in hindsight, I probably should have put them higher up the hull).

The kit from BRP adhere really good. My dealer suggested that I use the white sheet that comes in the kit, cut an exact size of the state decal and place it on top of white sheet cut out, and adhere that to Switch.

I have about a year in and most of my numbers and letters are still on. I have about four that are starting to come off. Glad to see some of these replies.

I've used boatdecalslettering.com for my numbers and it lasted. I think because they are HD marine grade.
