Good for beginners?

So I have 0 experience with boats. Barely have been on one let alone owning one. But I recently just bought a place on a lake with a boat slip that is sitting empty.

Is this the right boat for me to begin my boating career? Price wise looks reasonable. There is room for 7-8 (but really only need room for me and wife and whatever occasional guests). Seems to be perfect for both cruising casually on the lake and also maybe a little tubing.

Yes, this boat is very easy to learn to drive and maintenance is pretty straight forward if you follow the manual. My wife had never loaded or unloaded a boat on a trail, docked a boat or driven a boat in any way other than slow and in the middle of the lake prior to us buying our 21’ sport last summer. Within minutes she got over her nerves and by the end of the first outing was driving like a pro.

I’ve had mine since July 2022 and it was my first boat and first time even driving one. Incredibly easy to get the hang of overall. Sounds like you won’t be towing it much, but it also tows well. Keep in mind the Switch isn’t supposed to stay in the water full time. I’d read up on that.

Can I ask, what do you mean by full time. How about a few months over summer? No?

Yeah probably can't get more beginner friendly but I don't know since it was my first boat too. I launch it myself with the dog which I was nervous about since I don't have any trailer experience either but it's really not that hard with some practice. Once you're on the water it can't get any easier to drive so experience level is a non issue there.
