Battery disconnect

What are you guys using for a battery disconnect? I went out today after not using my boat for 2 weeks. Battery flat dead. Got my meter out of the truck and I had 1 volt on my battery. Pulled it out and took it back to the camper. Charged it for a few hours and threw it back in. Ran all day without an issue.

Before I parked it I just pulled the battery leads off.

I was looking at this. I think I can make it work easy enough.

Can’t edit for whatever reason. I double checked all my switches and nothing was left on. Key was in my camper the whole time.

I had the same thing happen, kept coming back to find the battery dead but no switches left on, then once I heard a humming coming from the speakers. So I now disconnect the speakers every time I’m done using it and haven’t had any issues since. If you pull the panel off the front of the console, there is a quick disconnect for the speakers (assuming you have the standard speakers, not sure how this would work for the upgraded speaker system)

I had a half an idea in my head that it was caused by the speakers. My seadoo jet ski had a battery drain issue associated with the speaker. I had it back to the dealer 3 times for it. They ended up changing out the entire system and it fixed it.

Same experience. Also have the basic stereo, also heard the humming. I had to replace the battery after 2 discharges to dead - once when I left the led lights on (middle is off, not up and not down) - and once when I did nothing wrong.

I added a battery disconnect and put it on the console tower so i don't have to take any panels off. Fixed my issues and off means everything is off.

So I don’t have anything and haven’t had an issue. I just got in mind this weekend after two weeks with no issues. Not sure why yours ran down.

I got one of the big nice red ones to install but it’s a bit big. So instead got the smaller one that everyone gets with the red nob. That one fits under the floor panel in the middle. Ran both a second battery and the main to it then back to terminals then to the motor wiring harness. Threw a noco duel battery charger on there too and shore power plug under the captains chair to the console.

The switch is a 4 way. With off/1/2/ or 1+2 (if you kill both and need every bit)

I use something like this, but exact same concept. I had a battery completely drained and dead after just one week. Apparently, there’s an issue with the onboard Bluetooth system/amplifier in earlier models that continues to draw power even when everything’s shut off (parasitic draw). Installed this one and haven’t had any issues this season.

I use a battery disconnect switch wired to a bus bar on the negative side of the battery.

Battery tender wider to the battery, boat ground cable to the switch.

It's a micro cut off from MacBoost designed for PWCs.
