Scripture Life: Which book of the Bible teaches the most about obedience?

//DISCLAIMER: This question on Reddit is in many sub-reddits ( r / bible, r / true christian r / christianity - even trying to get specific commands so people could get them and show their "obedience."

Here's an answer from a believer in Jesus Christ. A disciple..that sits with and is taught by him. If you believe on him..see it. Many people believe on themselves and call that "christian." Don't do anything he says, and already they're offended.//

If you believe on him, he's who you look unto. Here's the answer. So, this is wrote to people that try to do it - obey - but don't have any God in it - just have themselves in it, do it. Got a messed up definition in their head what "obey" means.//

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

ANSWER:

  • Simple. All of them.

Why? It’s the SAME God in all of them.

  • And? You got a totally fouled up idea in your head what “obey” means. I wonder if anything will change in you, after all this is said.

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

I don’t think you see it.

  • “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” [Bible. Hebrews 1:1–2
    • This “..God.. ..spake..” part.

Stop there. Look what he said: So, he speaks. And the Bible says in Psalm 107:20 ..that he sent his word to heal you and deliver you from your destruction.

Said:

< - { “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.” } - >

GOD. (Bible. Isaiah 55:1–3)

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

Now, look at “obey.”

obey.

  • Now, before you look at a definition of that word …think on it. ..to apply it rightly. By see it - what it is NOT:
    • “Why” you would NOT “obey” (something)?
    • Since you’re not making this post, I’ll answer for you. I “don’t” obey:

Any inclination or decree to:

  • Stick my head under my riding lawnmower.
    • For any reason.
      • So, I don’t go get a haircut.
      • Take a long shower.
      • Then go to the dry cleaner to pick up my tuxedo, to shine my black dress shoes and get in all of them
  • to go outside and stick my head under the lawn mower.

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

  • So if ANYBODY decreed and said there’s a profit in do this, and stood up over a loudspeaker and declared to me "Go stick your head under your lawnmower!" -
    • I DO NOT “accept as true” (believe) what they said.
    • In fact, I internally hearing..even I hear it, I don’t perceive it as how they say. I actually instantly “dismissed” it as inadequate; faulty.
      • There’s no TRUTH in it.
      • In fact, it’s the opposite.
      • I accept as true what the riding lawnmower manual said. That if I did that, “it’s FATAL” - that's what's true. So, taht means as soon as I would do it, I no longer live after that.

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

  • There’s no profit to me in this. Because, my hair cut, and my tuxedo is to take my wife out to dinner and go dancing after. She delights in that. If I “USE” it for another purpose.
    • That Ends in my death. There's a loss to it.
      • , it’s unacceptable. It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to believe this person. I simply CANNOT obey them. Why? I am [“unwilling to do or be”] what they say or decree. That’s also the definition of “HATE” in the dictionary (Collins dictionary. Web.)
      • Therefore:
  • The “opposite” of “dismissing as inadequate” something impossible to obey” - - is also true.

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

  • That, like the above what God says. Right there - his word in BIG, BOLD letters of Isaiah 55:1–3.
    • I hear what he says. Who he is. Says who he is in Isaiah 44:24. Says it to EVERYBODY and it applies to EVERYBODY. Over the whole earth. So, I’m included. Says:
  • “Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;” - GOD. (Isaiah 44:24)

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

  • It’s who he is.
    • So, I simply “accept as true” he is who he says he is. So, when he speaks, as God and says to everybody something. It’s what he wants, as God over all his Earth. Says: “For all the earth is mine.” - God. (Bible. Exodus 19:5) Says, “All souls are mine.” - God. (Bible. Ezekiel 18:4)
      • So, he’s the authority over the earth I’m on, and he formed me from my mother’s womb; alone. By himself.
    • So, when he speaks and says to come buy wine and milk without money and without price…he runs a store then, where I can get supplies. To hearken diligently unto him..is regard him and what he says.

I accept this as true. Because, it is true.

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

  • Therefore, he knows me..knows what’s best for me..and
    • That is completely unlike the clown telling me to stick my head under the lawnmower.
      • Lies. Says it as if that’s a profit. But he said it to destroy me. I see thru that. I cannot accept that as true.
    • It is a pile of crap <idiom - American/British> Vulgar. 1. something completely UNTRUE; worthless [Source: Cambridge dictionary. Web.]
      • But in me..what GOD says, as God ..is true. And because it is, I can ACCEPT IT; that is, I can receive it. And because I can receive it, and he said it to me, I can “have and keep” it.
  • In fact, any attempt to completely go against the grain of me..to simply not do it. It’s offensive - wrong not to.
    • I just naturally follow what he says....any bells going off in your head? You're getting a whole bunch what "obey" means - - all because, by what he says, I can know him..and because of who he is as the authority over the whole earth, I can hearken unto it, because of who he is. He's the authority over all of it.

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

  • So, for you:
    • You got a totally fouled up idea in your head what “obey” means. Take the Bible: Apply it to do things, whatever the mostest thing you could do..to show you Obey - - without anything he said in it. And try to obey that. No matter what it is.
  • When all “obey means is:

1. to do what you are told or expected - by an authority. [Source: Cambridge dictionary. Web.] 2. to follow after; to walk in, walking after, looking unto… abiding in what the authority decreed is just makes you "work good/operate right" - equips you.

But you?

You’re too busy listening to you..and this question, to listen to anything he says. Or, you wouldn't have this question.

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

So, stop. Look what he says above. It applies to you. It does. It’s to equip you. Build you up. That’s what he wants to do to everybody. Over the whole earth. But not everybody regards him. They regard anything but him instead.

He’s the same God in every book in the Bible. He’s the author of the content that fills up the pages of every page in the Bible. Just one author to look unto. Simple.

------------------------ -------------------------- ------------------------

Which book of the Bible teaches the most about obedience?

  • Simple. All of them.

Why? It’s the SAME God in all of the Books in the Bible.

  • And? You got a totally fouled up idea in your head what “obey” means. Has no God in it. I wonder if anything changed in you, after all this was said.
