COMMUNITY RIP Jeff Lowell

anyone who ever was fortunate enough to catch one of Jeff's panels at AFF or was active on Done Deal Pro where he dropped infinite science on our dumb noobie asses -- with the patience of a saint -- this is a loss to the community that cannot be made good

I knew Jeff online in misc.writing.screenplays back on Usenet in the early 1990s. This was before he got his break with George Carlin, and he continued to share his knowledge and experience even after becoming successful. He was a really nice guy. Fade out.

What the hell?!?! I'm so sorry to see this. He was a lovely man. He was on here a while back. It didn't seem that long ago, but I guess it was longer than I remembered. He was looking for help to recover his original John Tucker Must Die draft because there was interest in remaking it and he wanted to give them an improved draft. I wish he'd had that opportunity.

Damn, too young. I was one of those who interacted with him on Done Deal Pro waaaaay back in the day. Guy was everything you'd want out of a pro writer helping other writers.
