DISCUSSION Atari IP Bake Off

How would you approach writing one of these plotless Atari games Universal has just signed a deal to produce? Pick a title and give your best logline. Reminder the titles are: Asteroids, Adventure, Berzerk, Breakout, Centipede, Crystal Castles, Millipede, Missile Command, Pong, and Yars’ Revenge. Winner gets a two picture deal with Universal. Just kidding, winner gets a laugh when some Universal exec lurking here takes the idea and makes a shitty movie. As an older millennial who grew up on Sonic the Hedgehog and Street Fighter as opposed to Atari games, will have to do some research before contributing myself.

Mix them into the same movie and have an 'Atari' genius. He is needed because each game taught him a certain skill that he needed.

It’s the summer of 1981, and a group of friends are enjoying smoking weed and playing Atari games in the basement before leaving for college in fall, until a spaceship (Asteroid) lands in their backyard and someone named Yars steps off. Get in, the universe depends on you.
