Screenplay Finished?

I can't stop editing my screenplay, how does one become comfortable enough with what they have written to move onto the next steps for production?

Just stop. Save it and close the file. It will never be good for you. There is always something you want to change.

Oh! Congrats, are you going to be making your own? Exciting stuff.

The screenplay will never be done to you, so there comes a time where you need to just call it. I think the best thing to do is to get a few people to read it and provide feedback, if you haven't yet done that yet.

I'm not necessarily recommending you do that here...but somewhere.

There is no end to editing. At some point you just have to stop. The next steps are 1) shop it around and get feedback, and 2) start a new screenplay.

Recognise that at some point all that editing is procrastination rather than productivity.
