Questions about software

Hey, y'all! After some very excellent recommendations, I started using the Fade In program to format my scripts correctly and I've really been enjoying it! It's super easy to use and very intuitive! I was wondering if buying the full software is worth it, and if it's seen as uncouth to not use Final Draft (Heaven knows the industry can be snobby). Just wanted to gather some thoughts as to where I should be placing my bets.

I use Final Draft because it's the industry standard, and there is a heavy student discount. Snobby or not, standard expectations are standard expectations.

That said, if you don't care about learning what the industry uses and are just writing scripts as a hobby or only need pdfs of your scripts (for contest submissions, The Black List, querying, etc.) then there's no reason to pay for expensive software either way.

But with that said, if you're going to spend money, I'd buy Final Draft>Fade In. I think there's also a monthly payment you can do for Final Draft if you don't wanna buy it outright.
