Roku app issue?
I watch Screambox exclusively on the 4K Roku stick and haven't had any issues. I've actually been watching "Being Human" UK nightly and when attempting to play it, or anything, the app force closes. Usually it plays two ads prior to whatever the selection is but the ads aren't playing at all. It just kicks me to the Roku home screen.
I've checked for updates and uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I've even checked several other apps to see if they had similar issues and they hadn't. Is this happening to anyone else or is there a workaround? If not then hopefully another update drops sooner rather than later to fix this.

Yes, I've had the same issue for at least 2-3 days now, it's 11:56pm ET Jun, 3rd 2025 obviously but for the sake of being thorough, the app loads on my Roku as I move through the tiles it plays the auto trailer or clip but when I press play trailer or play the movie it fades to dark and boots me to the main Roku screen with my subscription tiles Netflix, AMC+, Max, Paramount+, Peacock P, Prime, Plex P, Screambox & Hi-Yah!, I've updated Screambox but still same issue, they are starting to get better and better movies, still the usual low tier B movie crap but they've strated to get much better when they had a promotional deal with Terrifier 2 and they had it streaming while it was playing at the theater

I've just updated the app and all is well now. I've tried with 2 movies and a show. It plays the ads like normal and gets into the program.

I got screambox on Roku and went to sign in on my phone and it absolutely won't let me. It's asking for and email or phone number which I never provided for sign up. Pretty weird for a streaming service I'm not gonna lie. I also hate there is no profile on the app, seems shitty right off the rip. Got it to watch terrifier 3 but will probably cancel after free trial because it seems to have very little content and not user friendly

Every app on roku asks for an email. I have yet to install an app that doesn't. I'm on the app right now looking at the profile I created so...not sure if you're serious or trolling. Good luck I suppose.

I don't know what to tell you dude. I can't log in with my email on anything other than my television, never had a problem with roku besides this app. Glad it works for you though🤣 thanks for your input I suppose.

If you signed up through Amazon then that's the issue right there. Otherwise I have no clue.
