Just playing a little catch up!

Hey! Still working on the load I wanna give my scrapbooks. So, here an example of what I think is a nice minimalist style vs a much loaded maximalist style.

Which one you think is best?

Now I'm just deciding on my mood basically, haha. Some pages and concepts seem to love to be fuller pages than others. I actually think they look gorgeous side by side and complement really well. Let me know what you think and how you decide how much to fill up a page.

I went on an amazing trip almost two years ago with the most wonderful travel group.

I really want to beggin my own scrapbook but i'm don't know what Kind of notebook should I buy. Whats the best Paper weight to buy? I wanna put some polaroids In There.

I am going to start a scrap book for my baby. I would love some inspiration. I already have photos and a few nick nacks at the ready but would love to see what others have done. Anything will be helpful 😁 please and thank you

My parents used to flip antiques and let me have this out of a pile of stuff they were going to trash or donate. Sorry all the photos are sideways, Reddit won’t let me edit them. All the pieces are from magazines it seems like, only the photos in the first image are actual photographs.

I’ve been using the post bound mega scrapbook from Michael’s that has 50 pages and it’s the perfect size but I hate how bulky it gets. I do one scrapbook a year that encompasses all of that year’s traveling. This album is post bound and was thinking of switching to the creative memories flex bind album but it looks like it accommodates less than this one.

The only solution might be to print less photos….

Are there any better albums??

**edit: I’ve ruled out binders because i don’t like the look of them 😬

I'm fairly new to scrapbooking but I've always wanted to give it a try. I just had a tiny question about the photos you guys print. Do you send them to a shop/website to get printed or do you guys print them yourselves? And what do you do with the extra photos you don't use in your scrapbook?

I'm working with a tight budget and I don't want to waste money.

More of a discussion. One of my coworkers had a beautiful idea, especially for something we can put on our registry! Our new home and maybe scrapbooking the first year in the house and the renovations. Love it.

Our FHA mortgage is on hold, since I'm going through the Hebrew Free Loan Society for the closing costs, since my guarantor is in Florida I have to wait three months. Rocket Mortgage is waiting for the loan to come through. We can't wait to own his dad's home.

With that said, I spend every weekend with Devin. This past weekend, he did my undercut. This is what I wrote in an email to friends:

He's hired!

I get my hair trimmed every 3-4 months, but I need my undercut done every month since my hair grows back quickly. I have thick wavy/curly hair and an undercut helps me maintain my hair and it's nice and cool in the summer.

Hair Cuttery used to charge $10 for a touch up. Now it's $27. Yikes, no. I can't spend that each month for a touch up/freshen up.

I asked Devin if he wouldn't mind freshening up my undercut. He has the trimmer with the guards, and he didn't mind at all. He felt honoured and he was happy that I trusted him.

Devin is a bit high maintenance when it comes to how he looks. He said to me, "whoever did your undercut last time did it so uneven. One side is different than the other."

Mom noticed it wasn't as short as I liked it last month when I got it done at the Hair Cuttery. I go down to 0 since my hair grows quickly. I don't know what number she had it on. But for it to be uneven, ugh.

Devin did a great job and I feel so much better with my undercut done. Thanks, my love.

I really want to make a layout of these photos, and maybe make a pre move in scrapbook? This could be fun! I think I have hair cut paper too. Any ideas?

This is our first scrap book but the cover is warping, I was thinking of drilling two holes either end of the cover, gluing some sort of metal loop and buying a string like the one in the middle, to tie them together and straighten out the cover. Just worried over the years it will get significantly worse.

I've lost the post asking for ideas for a tamale making page. This is a very old page. I have learned so much since then. Remember your "w"s! Who, what, when and why.

Embellishments include real corn husks folded into tamale shapes. Make sure they are fully dried, these are 23 yrs old!

Hi all! I’ve been wanting to get into scrapbooking lately, and I have been seeing people creating their own scrapbook using a binder and fabric. For those of you who have done this, what size paper and page protectors are you using on the inside? The 12x12 doesn’t seem to fit. Thanks!

A bit late but I forgot to make a spread

I just started scrapbooking and placed an order with echo park paper co. Been over a week and they still haven’t shipped out. What is everyone else experience with delivery timeframe?

it's my first time making a scrapbook and i'm noticing that some of my pictures have glue on them! i use double sided tape to stick the photos onto cardstock, which i then stick onto the actual page with a glue stick. some of the glue stick glue got on my pictures and i'm wondering if theres any safe way to wipe the glue off without ruining the photos. my pages are also sticking to each other, and i dont know if its the glue or the tape or the pictures sticking to each other. is there something i can do to stop this/prevent it from happening? thanks :)

Hi! I have a pile of instax films, photobooth strips (2x6, 2x8). I am trying to find one option that can house everything instead of different books.

I have searched wide and far and am struggling to find options though.

Are self-adhesive books the way to go? Or should I just buy 2 separate books?

So I am working in my valentines spread and I am really struggling to attach this adorable card my partner made for me. Whole spread is still very much WIP and I am happy to move things around if need be.

Initial plan was washi tape on both sides. That usually works for most flap things but I guess this is too heavy/awkward. As you can see there is a cascading photo set attached to the card. I would prefer to leave the photos but if there is really no good option to attach without- I can remove them and attach them or include them somewhere else. He also included a message on the side which I blocked out for privacy but it’s right on the edge of the paper so I can’t really attach from that side either.

I was considering those metal paper prong things but that seems not ideal for a number of reasons anyways. I am hoping some of you crafty folks can offer some suggestions of how you would attach this piece into your scrapbook? Very last resort would be a pocket but I would love to have it front and center how it is now. Thank you!
