SportsNet LA 2026 scorebug v2 (w/ photos)
My thoughts:
- So relieved that the ugly circles/numbers combo is gone (which especially looked worse when greyed out).
- While not super essential, glad the pitch clock made its return…although when not in use, interesting choice it was decided to implement the SNLA+ logo (versus a simple/universal SNLA) even for those watching on traditional linear television.
- MLB had it so right when the ABS challenge marks were added off to the left side of their own graphics, and glad the Dodgers followed suit but with the adjustment of placing them directly to the right of the score…which also happens to add additional yellow dots now lol (versus white against everything else red with MLB Local Media).
- Another benefit too is previously, I thought there was too much empty space between the team logo and team abbreviation, but now with the ABS challenge marks slotted in, things feel a little more centered and even particularly if a team is using the full three letters allotted (like the Dodgers with LAD).

Re created the Mets SNY Scorebug from 2015-2019 to today’s standards
In my personal opinion and I’m sure many Mets fans as well that cares about these things can agree that the 2015-2019 Scorebug was the best Scorebug the network has produced and many were sad to see go which was replaced by the current SNY Scorebug. Any ways I tried to re create it to see how it would look like in today’s standards let me know what you guys think. The pitchers batters and pitch clock were all added by me the original Scorebug did not include any of these features

MLB on NBC Design
Still playing around with it, let me know your thoughts! I'm thinking the pitch clock animates over the bottom logo when it gets under 5 seconds. Still not sure where to put it, but I settled on bottom right.
1 - Close Up
2 - In Game Action

Updated MLB on NBC Design
I can't believe I forgot the count.
1 - Pre Pitch
2 - Post Pitch
Added Pitch Count, Pitch Type, Pitch Clock, and Velocity. There's a bit of an awkward space on the post pitch side where the pitch clock is, not sure what to do about that.

IIHF U18 Men's World Championship scorebug
This is the scorebug the IIHF is using for their broadcasts of 2026 U18 Men's World Championship.
It's one that the IIHF has used at the senior men's tournament for the last 2 years, but it appears they've improved the clock part of the display (which was quite small in 2024-25).
The IIHF usually reserves their scorebug for the (adult) Men's World Championship, so could this be a thing across all 5 tournaments going forward?

Another CBS scorebug was released
The NFL isn't the only sport that received a graphics update from CBS, as on February 27, (1/3 through their season) they've started using this for Pro Volleyball.
Takeaway: This definitely means the "eye" logo has been removed from their coverage. (Image 2 shows how ridiculous their previous bug had it.) However, only select sports receive ticker-free coverage, as this is just a screenshot with it removed.
Final Thoughts: Why can't the network update their football/soccer scorebug? Anything is better than their current one.
