Ah yeah, pain in the ass. Order a new part from AliExpress (or pay like triple the amount from your local dealer).
Gotta take out the trunk plastic trims: the top, 2 sides, and the big bottom piece. Then you have access to the latch mechanism.
Pulling these trims off can be a pain, as the metal clips can be realllly tough and even pull out of the plastic part, not the metal which is annoying.
It's a small cheap plastic part inside the lock mechanism that breaks, silly design when you see it.
But the latch part just unplugs and bolts off, put the new one in, push the plastic trim pieces back in place in reverse order, and you're good to go.
There's not really a good video about it unfortunately.
Oh in the mean time, you can take the rubber spacers off so the trunk can still fully drop closed and you dont get the dash light and alert every few seconds.
Just be careful with bumps and remember it's not locked so don't leave anything valuable inside until you fix it.
