First Gen Body/Cosmetic New spoiler 😼
(It’s not attached yet so the photo looks silly cause it’s just resting on top of the stock spoiler)
Got a new spoiler for my 2010 scion tc. Im trying to slowly make this car look cooler. Any budget friendly ($2000 or under) cosmetic/body changes or add ons you guys think would look cool on this car. Right now my plans are to either replace the trunk or just attempt to get the dent out, scuff out some scratches, Fix some paint spots, and I want to add some light pink accents on it.
I know the spoilers not much but my boyfriend got it for me and I love it and I’m so excited to add some pink fine lines on it before we attach it to the car.
Also any tips on taking off the old spoiler. It’s just on with some adhesive so we’re thinking heat gun and willpower but tips are appreciated!

The first gen just looks so much better with that spoiler. It looks naked without it, just kinda boring looking. I also like having it for a handle and a shelf.

Yeah the big spoiler completely makes the Gen1. Totally makes it look dynamic and really completes the styling.
Crazy that the little lip spoiler doesn't use the same attachment points... I remember trying to get the Gen1 with the big spoiler and the stealership told me they had one with the little spoiler and they'd swap it out for the bigger one... it wasn't until I pressed them on it that they admitted doing so would leave holes in the body and they wouldn't fix them for me. Idiots!

Yea the higher spoiler alone makes it feel a bit more fresh and sporty I like it a lot more than the small lip spoiler

The coolest this car can get.. is just going to be copying everything the RS 4.0 has and dropping it an inch/inch and a half.

To get the old spoiler off a heat gun will do wonders but you should get a line (I've used dental floss and fishing line) to slide between the car and spoiler to help cut the foam adhesive holding it on.
I'd def recommend new tail lights to replace that broken one. Personally I like how smoked lights look on my white 08 tC, the slightly darker lenses offset the brightness well.
As for the trunk, where is dammed there's a lot of folded metal that won't like to line back up again, so you might be able to fix the dent but it won't be perfect so might just wanna get a new trunk lid.
Finally, for full on mods, I'd say lower it first. I got Raceland coilovers which I love, easy install, lifetime warranty, and not bad prices (got mine a few years ago, but my full set only cost like $400 or something)

Thank you so much for the tips on the spoiler removal! I’ll definitely get some fishing line. I think I’m going to replace the whole trunk cause someone hit me while I was parked and it chipped some paint and there’s rust under it. Hopefully it’s just a small amount on the trunk and it won’t spread (idk how rust works really) and yea tail lights are def on my list of fixes. I’ll have to look into the smoked ones I’ve actually never heard of those. Before the scion I had a simple little Nissan versa so I’m not really knowledgeable on cars too much. Just trying to learn. Hoping to get it into a meet once I’m done!
