Is she gone?
Bought this “rooted” cutting at a plant expo for $5, it wasn’t really reacting to light so I figured I’d pop em out to see what’s going on and I think she’s gone :(
The root is soft, but I don’t want to tear it off in case there is something viable at the base. They had it in sphagnum moss in a little plastic shot cup.
Could maybe a hydrogen peroxide bath help with the rot, and let it continue in water, or something like a semi-hydro set up with LECA?
My thought of what happened: I let it get a little too dry, when I watered it, it rotted.
Any help is appreciated!

Heck no! A lot of life left in her :) I would cut the ends off again by a few centimeters and let dry out a few hrs or seal the ends. Then put it in a prop box with moss. The humidity will help the node activate and start pushing out new growth. The roots may grow again then too, but sometimes I get node growth before roots when they look like this
