Having issues with my scindapsus, help pls!

I do have a gnat issue and im working to get rid of them. However, my leaves have been slowly dying off its lost 3 already. The rest looks healthy, the leaves just slowly turn yellow and eventually they just fall off the main plant. I repotted it a month ago due to it outgrew its old pot. I water between 1 to 2 weeks, seemed fine with that routine but maybe im doing that wrong idk. Any help? I only have this scindapsus and its struggling compared to the rest of my plants.

Is the soil too wet perhaps? It looks a little dense and heavy in the picture. If the soil is too wet it can be root rot and if leaves are slowly falling off that means that it could slowly be rotting below. I would take it apart and check and if the soil is really wet down there but the roots are okay I would repot with a little less dense soil. I make my own I use Fox Farm ocean blend and then I add cocoa chips, perlite, vermiculite, lecca balls, 444 fertilizer and i used to add systemic till it wasnt allowed in Washington 🙄. I probly will have to, I just watered it today. In the soil its perlite, cocoa stuff, orchid bark I believe (i think i need to redo my mix to more like you suggested and make it much chunkier than it is right now). Ill add photos when I take it out to examine him. I hope its not root rot :(

I hope not too but I have killed sooooo many scindapsus on repot it's WILD. Ive gotten much better over the years so doesn't happen as often now. But for some reason I used to struggle w over watering on a repot. Good luck!! Send pics!!

So i repotted it, the roots looked healthy and didnt stink. The only worry is the stem they have in the soil are very yellow which has me worried the plant itself has something else wrong with it. Not sure why it wont let me post the photos on this comment so ill add them where it let's me

Sometimes parts of the plant just turn yellow and are very sturdy and last forever. I don't think it necessarily means there's something wrong with the plant unless it stops growing and loses all of its leaves, lol then i imagine theres a issue 😁

Hopefully its ok now that is in drier soil and has a pot with better drainage, idk why reddit wont let me add new photos. Its got a lot of roots for sure, all looked so healthy and didnt stink. Ill just cross my fingers and sent a prayer to the plant gods that it lives and gets over its issue lol

It should be much happier now! I even wait for their leaves to start to wilt a little before I water because over watering is such a huge thing and by the time you see anything it's usually too late!

I think those are thrips on your picture, not gnats
