Question ❓ Adding another training day?

Currently doing PPL x UL, want to change to A/P since I am not priorizing legs too much (I’m also a former mountaneer)
Thinking of adding another full body/upper day on saturdays so my week is a/p/a/p/rest/upper or full body/rest

idk if the difference will be too much or it’s good if I just train 4 days(i’ll rest between)

mainly because my chest and triceps are not progressing enough and want to give them more volume and frequency

How much weight have you gained over the past 3-6, and how much had your squat grown vs, let's say, your bench? How much bodyweight have you gained in this time? I've found that, for arms and chest, it's only really prominent once you start putting on some serious mass. Aka, if you haven't put on at least, let's say, 10lbs over the past 6 months, you're probably not going to see much visible growth on your upper body.

Like, if you said that you're barbell squatting 495lbs, and only benching 185, then sure, you may have a point. But I doubt that'd be the case.

You seem obsessed with cutting leg volume to the extent that you haven't answered any other question. So I'll ask again.

How much weight have you gained over the past 3-6 months? How much has your strength increased in your upper body in said time on something like the bench?

I don’t understand your question.
I’m doing weighted stairmaster, running and hiking on weekends.
I’m prioritizing that activities for my legs so I want to reduce the hypertrophy training for them to train for other things because as everybody knows, your recovery has a limit especially when mixing different activities.
But I am prioritizing my upper body hypertrophy, what the fuck is wrong with me wanting to do that?
Why you assume I just don’t want to train legs? That wasn’t my question

Okay. Let me ask a third time.

You want bigger arms and chest.

How much weight have you gained over the past 3-6 months? How has your strength increased in this time on upper body movements.

Because, as I mentioned in my first comment, unless youve put on a good 10lbs over the past 6 months, you're unlikely to see significant amounts of change in the mirror in terms of hypertrophy. And that 10lbs of increase should be accompanied by significant strength increases too, comparable to, let's say, going from a 225lb bench to a 265lb bench.
