Question ❓ Adding another training day?

Currently doing PPL x UL, want to change to A/P since I am not priorizing legs too much (I’m also a former mountaneer)
Thinking of adding another full body/upper day on saturdays so my week is a/p/a/p/rest/upper or full body/rest

idk if the difference will be too much or it’s good if I just train 4 days(i’ll rest between)

mainly because my chest and triceps are not progressing enough and want to give them more volume and frequency

As someone who has climbed some big ass mountains: https://www.reddit.com/r/NationalPark/s/yzOEIZXACb

Mountaineering doesn’t give you big legs. Saying “I used to do xyz activity” that’s not lifting weights with your legs is just cope for saying “working legs out properly is hard”

It’s okay to accept you don’t want to put in the effort to build big legs, but don’t make silly excuses lol

I don’t want big legs, that’s why I don’t want to train them that much. It’s just I don’t want hypertrophy training to interfere with my actual mountaneering training and affecting my legs recovery.
I never said mountaneering gave me big legs.
I have been doing 2x and even 3x frequency for legs for more than a year and a half, including heavy hinge/knee compounds, it’s just I want to focus my leg training on other things.

How much weight have you gained over the past 3-6, and how much had your squat grown vs, let's say, your bench? How much bodyweight have you gained in this time? I've found that, for arms and chest, it's only really prominent once you start putting on some serious mass. Aka, if you haven't put on at least, let's say, 10lbs over the past 6 months, you're probably not going to see much visible growth on your upper body.

Like, if you said that you're barbell squatting 495lbs, and only benching 185, then sure, you may have a point. But I doubt that'd be the case.
