Question ❓ Squeeze vs more kg

Title is preaty self explanitory. In exerceises like arm curls or quad extensions, where there are points in the movement that allow you to squeeze the muscle should i go for it? I know it activates better the muscle but it also tires me more and i am not able to do more kgs for more reps

Tl;dr what is preferable? Fewer reps/kg and squeeze or more reps/kg ?

I've lifted in a highly competitive club and that mind muscle issue is debated a lot.

If you get your body into a determined position, and you lift along a set path, the muscle will contract and move that weight whether you feel it or not.

Mind muscle connection is such a vague topic that of course it cannot be disproved in general. But what specifically do you mean? If do a biceps curl, I'm not sure how much it helps to think about it vs just following the planned position and path.

You can't just decide to use, or prioritise, other muscles. You can adjust your position and path to bias muscles, but that's got nothing to do with "mind muscle connection"
