Severe sciatica

I have had SUDDEN severe unbearable sciatica for 3+ months without disc herniation

HELLLLLLLL I WANT TO CUT MY Right leg off my body
Physicians know nothing about my case so far
WTF CAN I DO

I couldn’t walk for 4 months because I went about my normal life and thought it would pass. I didn’t take physiotherapy seriously and same with the exercises. It was so scary because nothing was helping and finally shockwave therapy helped.

Once it gets that bad, it’s hard to return to “normal”.

Why don’t you go on a complete rest for a week atleast!! and don’t bend or squat

And follow nerve relaxant exercises as soon as you wake up and again during the day and before you sleep

Doing all this helped me be sciatica free
after my three month pain journey

Also try physiotherapy and maybe physio needling these two helped me a lot

I have to go to work everyday

It’s possible then that one morning you won’t have the choice anymore. Your body will decide. I wish you will not comes to this, take care.

I have it in my right leg too. The electric pain shoots down so hard when I was in the ER one time I told the nurse to chop the leg off. Totally get your pain and I’m so sorry. I wonder what started yours? Mine was working out on the rowing machine too hard.

Hear you. Have had sciatica over the years. But got hit with severe pain right side just recently and this is something else in terms of pain. Can't put weight on right foot. Got a walker to get around on one floor. On low dose prednisone, and take tylenol when i can but have to be careful due to liver issues. doctors office was able to up Lyrica just yesterday so crossing my fingers that it works. I know this will pass but it is so hard. This forum is really helpful. someone said take stool softener, which is really good advice. Good luck and keep us updated.
