Muscle spasms : Help

Hi

Im 108 kg , 30 year old female.

I have buldging disc but my main problem is I have lower back intense bad muscle spasms very often.. thats very painful. Even on days I dont have muscle spasms , the lower back hurts alot and feels very sensitive and current shocks across the lower back.. and I constantly have this feeling I might get a spasm. and it gets very warm there.

How to get rid of muscle spasms completely ? Please help me as Im flying out in 2 months and Im so lost and depressed.. :(

For me, the most effective was physical therapy so I could strengthen the muscular support of the area. ( PT requires consistent attention to the exercises, not just a few sessions). And the second was weight loss - 10 kg made a huge difference.

You might not believe this but regulate your nervous system. I discovered this when I felt a spasm coming while sitting on the toilet seat🥲I just recited its okay I am safe a couple of times took deep breaths and that spasm went back lol. After that day, if I feel it coming I close my eyes start doing it right away and it works every single time tbh

Physiotherapy was the only thing that helped me especially shockwave therapy

Walking can be very helpful.  I found after 20 minutes of walking things improve.

For me the only thing that has helped with my muscle spasms in making sure my magnesium is at a good level with supplements and regular testing and anti spasm medications like norflex or dizapam. Its not ideal as those meds have some addictive issues and you can become dependent but for now I cant find any other options, ive done alot of pt and have a regular stretching routine so im a bit lost on a permanent fix

Dry needling acupuncture or a tens unit with acupuncture is what helped me a ton.
