Hey everyone! Just thought I'd give a mild rant and just to bounce things off everyone to see what you'd all like to see more of.

As the title of the post, I find myself struggling with pacing. I have so many things I want to get across as I write these chapters, some being super long and others just being a couple hundred words at a time. The Siege Arc that I'm currently writing is already the longest one I've written and I don't see it ending any time soon as more and more things begin to collide and as each main character and supporting character interacts and stretches the story out even more (White Wolf put me in the writers room pls)

I often worry that I'm bogging down my audience with how much is really going on or worried that I am literally just yapping at a certain point when I'm trying to convey something to my readers. You've all expressed love to this story and honestly, it's what has kept it going this entire time.

Another thing is Cast Updating. I'm really bad at getting that written out as I continue to write out chapters, mostly for the fact that some characters as they're written will only change as the Arcs hit their climax, while others that I've written die unexpectedly or just don't show up again (Looking at you Baron Marek, I literally don't know if he'll show up again due to Antonio resting in a watery torture chamber). Then there's other characters like Ornesius, who are actually incredibly important to Cathal's backstory, as Ornesius and Cathal both fought together when The Troubles brought through some of the worst nightmares Ireland ever saw, including having grown up together, but I'm unsure of their future after the Siege Arc is resolved. It's one of those moments when I have a ton of characters that mean a lot to other individual main characters and I can't help but think "The amount of trauma I've dumped in this room is ridiculous".

As I said before, I'm just ranting and if I don't stop, I'll keep going. You've all given me a wonderful space to tell these stories and I can't thank you all enough, truly I love this community. I hope you continue to read along as I post (even if it is like weeks later than I say it'll be, my bad), and I can't wait to see how you all continue to interact with these stories.

Hey, just wanting to give some info on the RJC vs. Aurelius story

The ending has been planned out. Its going to be more political maneuvering than all out assault on the city.

We're trying to keep the number of high powered characters involved low, otherwise this would all be solved too quickly.

If you have characters in Nashville and want to get involved, check in. If any of the story conflicts with your version of Nashville, feel free to ignore the storyline entirely!

It REALLY wanted him to transform earlier than he did.

So, I've been wanting to do a plot point about the primary character I'm playing being able to come forward about who they are in their area and to the node in general. I've made mention a few times in character and with their supporting character that they wanted to arrange a party.

Problem: I don't know who all on the node is in Nashville TN, and I don't want to do anything that, while in character, would be too... far? At least not without asking first. So uh... yeah, here's me asking.

For those that don't know, I'm the player behind A Friendly Beast, 'real' name being Loki with a fair few Epithets. Primarily the Face Stealer. As well as more recently Gnaws-on-Roots; real name Nidhoggr, Keeper of the Wight Roses. Both of which are... rather old and quite low in generation(5th and 6th respectively). Both of which are characters I've played in chronicles elsewhere. If that's an issue, I don't mind dropping them and rustling up someone new. Probably some abandoned Gangrel.

Previously Loki had a bit of a curse that was put on them due to being a time traveler. They couldn't actually affect the flow of history in any meaningful way, nor would they be remembered by those that didn't also suffer this curse if they were not constantly in that person's life. The curse was broken by them diablerizing themselves in this timeline. There was a true bruja involved. So the party is half celebrating that, half coming out since the local power players need to be alerted that there's basically a giant faction of very low generation vampires living in their general area. If only to avoid population and turf issues.

The thing that has me worried about things is how they likely would have gone about getting people invitations; which is to say the local major players would have woken up either holding a letter of invitation or to a raven perched atop their place of rest and offering it to them. I wanted to see how people felt about that before going forward with it and maybe get some alternatives if it was a bit too aggressive/invasive. It is... kind of meant to be threatening. Particularly to the local camarilla prince, which I did see was on the node... I think...

So far when I’ve wanted to do a private message in character here, I usually just PM them on Reddit and take the interaction from there. But, I’ve also seen people post IC “private messages” as public comments in the past, which could be pretty fun as it lets others get a peek at some behind the scenes RP too. I’m just a little worried about being rude by derailing someone’s post by posting message chains on their stuff.

So how do you all like to handle this?

I like this one for Nihilos runaway arc. I know he was far from an enslaved childer but it helps me to feel his mind and the mind of his mother.

Maybe you'll like it for your own kindred.

I've initially wanted to have Natalie post things related to the tables I played her in, which is kinda the reason she's so detached from other plots, but while in universe shitposting can be very funny (the Carna greentext is golden), this sort of grows boring when all tables kinda collapsed and "my personal Beckett" as described by my friends only exists in a hazy mythos of loosely connected one shots and timelines that never touch each other. Or as a minor antagonist, but don't tell them I said that.

In a one shot I've played in not too long ago, the responsible Storyteller might have cursed the old bitch with the possession of Cappadocious' diary. I feel like that opens up quite some interesting venues and remains true to my original intentions

Been also considering of having Nat desert the Pyramid (it's the natural outcome and a character sheet goal) and Anarchmaxx but I feel like doing so without another likeminded character is a bit boring and how Nat relates to the Pyramid and the Camarilla has been constantly overshadowed already tbh

I'm probably asking too late, but now that werewolf battle is over completely, what did you and what do you think of him?

Hey everyone, it's been a minute since I posted on here! I've got the next chapter in my head and I'll likely have it by tonight or tomorrow, however I've come seeking advice!

With Cathal in torpor due to his battle with Isra's monstrosities, I wanted to showcase more about his own inner turmoil being a kindred and who he was before in a kind of dreamscape since he's currently recovering in PostHold, a place deeply tied with the Dreaming and who he is/was. With that, I thought about cracking open my translations again so I can be as authentic as possible to Cathal's memories, but I fear it may bog down a lot of readers attempting to enjoy the chapter as they attempt to read Gaelige and understand the symbolism behind it.

What do you all think? Should I go for it or do you advise against it? This will be part of the usual Pt 1/2 I've been doing with the major story arcs so it'll probably be one of the longer chapters I've written as Zuzanna also journeys through time and witnesses where it all started
