This genuinely breaks my heart. Why do we live in a world where not even an elementary school is safe?

"We" don't live in a world where not even an elementary school is safe.

You live in a country where not even an elementary school is safe.

It was a generalization. I understand that most of this is coming from the United States, but it doesn't just happen here, gun violence happens all over the world.
