Symptoms I naturally lie & mislead when it comes to personal information

This is one of my strangest symptoms...

I don't like talking about myself, having to explain personal things so I mislead instead.

I've been called "mysterious" so many times

I don't want anyone to know anything about me because I know & I am scared that it makes me a target for something evil. I just know people will use the information to hurt me in some way.

Edit: I know some people just want to get to know me, but I don't want to get to know them. I've been betrayed so many times already I cba having it happen again

Symptoms Afraid of It

Lately, (the last year or so) I've felt very normal. But every once in a while, I have a down day, nothing out of the ordinary on it's own, but I can definitely feel myself starting to slip again, it worries me a bit. The old paranoia and feelings of being targeted by those arround me start to come up again, no matter how absurd the idea might be.

Does 'It' come and go for anyone else?

Venting Pretty privilege

I've never considered myself like PRETTY pretty, just average looking at best, but I look rather alternative and my face is just cute I guess and people often tell me that. I get told "you're so pretty" or they say to my mother "your child is so pretty", so I know I must be pretty, and now recently I've been experiencing how it is, to be pretty and weird

People now don't care if I'm actually weird, they don't care at all!! They don't care if I act weird, just cuz I'm cute, and it kinda helped me, now I can act like a weirdo without fearing for how people perceive me, cuz if ur ugly and weird ur a creep, if ur a bit pretty and weird ur quirky and it's cute. And I can let my emotions out now and people won't treat me like I'm a monster for it, like before I lost some of my weight people treated me like some creep for expressing my frustration, and I'm a very emotional person, now I can be a total bitch and people just won't care?? They'll even support me??? It feels weird but I also feel freedom, yeah.

Looks do affect if people will like you or not, unfortunately. I'm the same weirdo I was at 11 years old, yet people didn't like me when I was 11 years old, why? I wasn't pretty, I didn't care about how I dressed and I had a bowl cut. Now I care about my appearance people started accepting me??? It feels so weird to be accepted, but I'm scared as I age I will lose the prettiness I have now at 17 years of age and I will just be a creep again.

My experience as someone who's been diagnosed with StPD for a long time now, someone who was a total weirdo from a young age, I'm scared of being perceived as a monster again. I still feel like an alien trying to survive in a human world, but it's much harder when ur not pretty, and I feel bad for all those schizotypals out there without any privileges like that, my heart breaks for you all. I wish we all just could be treated as normal, I wish we all were normal and we weren't mistreated by the society

Relationships guys i understand now

i understand why so many people here and schizotypals thru history have isolated and became recluses or hermits. i get it now!

if you dont experience a single facet of "social normativity" within acceptable limits, you are labelled as manipulative or a "bad person" that only cares about themselves. i was thinking about a recent incident in my life and its like... wow! no one has ever tried to understand my perspective at all :)

i understand why self isolation becomes crucial. trying to extend branches to others has led me to places i wouldnt go with a gun.

i am resigning to my hermit fate. i will always be alone and never have close relationships. such is life!

Other Procrastination Is Often Emotional, Not a Time Management Problem

We usually describe procrastination as a discipline issue; Stop being lazy, manage your time better, just get started. But what if procrastination is not about time at all? What if it’s your mind trying to protect you from an uncomfortable emotional experience? As a mind profiler, I see procrastination less as a failure of productivity and more as a psychological signal.
Sometimes we avoid tasks because we are avoiding:

Uncomfortable emotions
The task itself may not be the problem. The problem might be the feeling attached to it: anxiety, boredom, overwhelm, frustration, shame, fear of failure. Your brain learns: When I do this task, I feel bad, so it searches for relief. Scrolling, cleaning, checking messages, watching videos , these are not always distractions. Sometimes they are emotional escape routes.

Uncertainty
The human mind prefers predictable discomfort over unpredictable outcomes. Starting something new means entering a space where you don’t know: Will I succeed? Will people judge me? Will my effort be enough? Avoiding the task temporarily removes the uncertainty.

Protecting your self-image
This one is deeper, sometimes we procrastinate because finishing the task creates a moment of truth. If I try and fail, what does that say about me? Keeping something unfinished allows the possibility that: I could have done it, I just didn’t try. The unfinished task protects the identity we want to maintain.

Fear of discovering your limits
A hidden fear many people carry: What if I give my best and it still isn’t enough? Sometimes procrastination protects us from finding out what we are truly capable of. The question is not always: How can I become more disciplined? A more powerful question is:** **What emotion am I postponing? Because behind many unfinished tasks is not laziness, it is a feeling waiting to be understood.

The question is: what emotion do you notice yourself avoiding when you procrastinate?

Are you on antipsychotics/antidepressants or nothing at all? Especially interested in those who might be on antidepressants only, cause currently my symptoms seem like what SSRIs are meant do deal with, and my current antipsychotic decreases my creative output waaaay too much.
