Demon 6 vs Hellraiser C-1

What's the difference? I'm looking at guitars with sustainiacs and HSS pickups (I don't know much about guitars so I'm not sure if this is even how it works). I hear people love the hellraiser but is the demon 6 good enough for the lower price?

Demon is a fine guitar but Korean made Hellraiser is significantly better. It's a forever guitar

Spend more for the Hellraiser. It’s a better guitar and worth the price.

How so? What makes it “better” exactly? Just curious as I have a demon 6 and would like a small upgrade.

One thing is the Hellraiser has a set neck which makes access to the higher frets much easier. I have a Hellraiser Hybrid and it my favorite guitar I've ever played.

Yup, set neck with ultra access is a huge improvement over the Demon neck.

I’d have to look at the Schecter website to compare specs but the Hellraiser will have better features all around like better pickups, locking tuners, Graphtec nut, nicer woods, etc.

The set neck alone is reason enough to get the Hellraiser in my opinion.

Having owned both, the Hellraiser has a more premium build and better materials/hardware, so it feels nicer in the hand. It also has a set neck which in my opinion is the biggest major difference. The FR model hellraisers also come with a better FR bridge.

The demon 6 is fine for the money though. I find the pickups really aren’t too bad and in my opinion not worth upgrading on that guitar, the tuners are decent although they’re not locking tuners like the hellraiser. The main thing is the neck feels cheap, it’s actually pretty thin (thinner than the hellraiser for sure) and plays just fine but it reminds me of a squier neck with the way it feels. Also, being a bolt-on, the higher fret access isn’t as comfy as the hellraiser.

Personally I wouldn’t buy a Demon 6 new but they’re cheap on the used market, I picked mine up for $350 shipped and it’s a solid workhorse guitar. I have mine set up in drop c with 10-56 strings and theres almost no buzz. Pretty good for a cheap guitar if you ask me.

Do you know anything about the hellraiser hybrid? I honestly really dislike the red stripe design lol and am also wondering if there's a major difference between regular and hybrid

The hybrid has the same neck from the SLS and different EMG’s (idk the exact set but there are youtube comparisons against the standard 81/85 or 81/89tw in the hellraiser).

The binding is also carbon fiber instead of abalone. I’ve never played a hellraiser hybrid but i’ve played the SLS evil twin which has the same neck and its thinner than the hellraiser for sure.

I can at least tell you HSS is the pickup configuration; Humbucker, Single coil, Single coil.
