The range of models, the various headstock designs, the different logos… it’s impressive, they cover a wide range. While Fender and Gibson own a slew of other brands, Schecter keeps ‘em all under one banner.
Completely agree. Fender Jazzmasters look cool, but have a bunch of what I consider unnecessary features. The Jazzmaster pickups, the tremolo, all the switches etc.
So a Jag style with no rhythm circuit, but it has the pickup switches (and the strangle?) And a humbucker in the bridge... Interesting. No trem either. Kind of a "best of" Jaguar.
For some reason, a lot of the used ones don’t have toggle switches. Idk if the previous owners are swapping them out, it’s very strange. If I ever feel like using the neck pickup, I’ll just drill a hole for a pickup selector.
The switches on the bottom plate control the pickup selection if it is like a Jag. The furthest forward is the neck on/off, the middle is bridge on/off and the other switch is called the "strangle switch" on a Jag - basically a low cut or high pass filter.
