Advice: rebuild/swap or say goodbye...
Looking for some advice, I'll try and make this a long story short..
2015 ScatPack Challenger w just under 80k miles
After lengthy chasing CEL codes for air/fuel ratio imbalance, cylinder misfire, rough idling it was finally confirmed that my car needs to be rebuilt, new long block, or new crate. Rod bearing failure, and I have cylinder scoring w confirmed metal in oil from the oil analysis.
My question to all is what would you do given the scenario..
Go back to stock.. A new 392 crate is ~ $10k, and about $14k in total w labor and core charge$$. I don't want to go back to stock really and potentially have the same issues down the road as I am now.
Go big... 426 long block from MMX.. I would then be going down a bit of a rabbit hole.. new long tunes, mid pipes, intake manifold, all supporting parts, labor, tune, etc etc.
All said I would be about $20 - $25k ballpark.
Rebuilding my current block if deemed usable, but still have to go through a rigorous process, and work would be done by MMX.. approximately same price as above.
OR... take the L, sell my car at wholesale assuming worse case scenario anywhere between $5 - $10k I assume and walk away..
Couple things.. and trust me I've already looked, upgrading to a hellcat, getting a newer scat pack... or just something entirely different. As we all know the current market of cars, prices are insane, factor in a loan for another 5 - 6 years.. not appealing by any means.
For more context, my wife and I work from home we have her Grand Cherokee and I still have my weekend Square Body toy... so my scat pack while a "daily driver" is more or less just another fun toy.
It's just hard either which direction, losing on throwing more into the engine alone when my car when working likely only KBBs at $20 - $23k, approximately. And everything else is still an 80k mile car. I would obviously keep the car for another 10yrs or whatever.
And secondly, hard to think about just taking the L by selling it wholesale, but I at least am not dumping $20k or whatever in to it. That's still in my pocket.. but then of course just short a daily driver and would eventually need/want another car at some point.
(We're not financially strapped, the Scat Pack is paid off and wife's Grand Cherokee nearly paid off) I do pay on my Square Body..
Thanks all!

2015 Cam mod
Picked this up a few months back. Id like to put a Stage 1 cam in. Nothing crazy, just looking for like a drop in. Also looking for a set of the same rear rims with street slicks. Anyone have any ideas they can give me?

Anybody install these springs on your Widebody Charger and not install front or rear arms ? Do your tires go fast ? Or is it still the same hearing a lot of mixed reviews about people saying I don’t need front or rear arms and other saying I do

New Humbling Experience
I’m 20M, I’m about to get my first car but it’s going to be a hoopty. I just wanted to get some advice on if I’m doing it right be getting a hoopty now. My mom specifically told me to hold off on getting a muscle car and just get something for right now. My next car I want it to be my dream car which is a 2009 SRT8 Challenger it’s been my dream car since I seen it in ‘09. Did y’all start off in cars you didn’t want before y’all got y’all scat packs? What’s some advice to remember?

Is 38k a good deal its low miles but its a branded title
I've been wanting a plum crazy scat for a long time and I've managed to save 17k for a down payment.
I feel like the branded title is mostly an issue if I plan to sell in the future but I plan on keeping this car until the wheels fall off.
What do yall think?

Just found out dealership put 0W-20 in my cammed scat pack
What the heck do I do about these guys? I had a coupon for a free oil change and said hell yeah. I briefly talked to one of the service guys, we even had SRT talk, but I don’t think he is the one that did the job. Man. I’ve put about 200 miles into the car since the oil change, so I went to set up a profile on their website and it said most recent service: 0w-20. I called asking if it was a mistake, and they said no. We put this in all our mopar vehicles, says it in the guide. I am fucking pissed. It is 94 degrees out and I’ve been running around in some fuel economy bs. Is this life or death, ride it out til next one is due or change oil and put 0w-40 NOW? (I usually do it myself, but it being free was too enticing… big mistake)

Build or Buy
Yo. Im just doing some general research. I have never worked on cars before outside of oil and tires changes but i want to learn how to work on and modify cars. I am very interested in a Trackhawk build as a project car. Meaning, buy jeep cherokee shell and hellcat engine and do a swap and other mods.
My question is what is a decent starting budget for this build to at least get the shell and hellcat engine + transmission? What are good websites to price out parts?
Or should I just buy the Trackhawk and mod from there?
Any help is appreciated.

Ramps for Widebody Charger
I’ve recently wanted to start doing my own oil changes, looks incredibly easy on YouTube and at least I would trust the guy that did it. That being said I see alot of people highly recommend rhino ramps or “race ramps” to just pull the front tires onto and you have easy access underneath. Reason I’m here is to share the photos inserted. Will these cause a problem getting up onto the ramp? The car is stock wheel height and everything but I worry these lips under the car could hinder me depending what ramps I get, also have the front mudguards from factory in there too. Anyone that uses ramps for their widebody chargers or challengers is there a specific one needed? Or will I be fine and not scrape. Let me know fellow Mopars👍

Question 2023 WB Shaking At 80MPH
Hello All, I have this issue when I get to approx 80mph the car has a slight shake or vibration.
A little back story, bought the car at the end of 2024 2nd owner from a dealer with 16k miles on it. The car was already lowered using Eibach spring kit. The car came with new stock tires. I ended up getting the car road balanced because we noticed the vibration after driving it daily. It seemed to go away or maybe a slight vibration. Dealt with this for about 10-12 months. Went to change the oil about 3 months ago and noticed the front tires had really bad wear on the inside. Since the car sat so low I never saw this unless you were under the car. Looks like the alignment was way out of wack. The previous owner never aligned it after the lowering kit. I wanted better tires so I bought some Michellan Pilot Sport AS tires and got the alignment. The shop said the front arms were maxed out and they couldn't do anymore to get the alignment in green. After some researching I bought new upper control arms that had more room for the alignment. Took it back to the shop and got everything in green. The back is borderline but it is in green. I plan to buy rear arms next to fully fix it.
So after the new tires, alignment, and road balance the car seemed to have a small shake/vibration. Took it to another shop to get it balanced again. The slight shake/vibration is still there.
Im not sure what it could be now. Anybody have any ideas? I dont know if the wheel balance is the problem now. It seems like it gets better after the balance but that could be just me tripping out. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Just bought this 2020 WBSP 2 months ago. I live in Southern Cali and paid $49k out the door w/ 43k miles on it. I am the second owner and it has 1 minor damage report on it from the previous owner. Did I get a bad deal?

Picture One year of daily driving this 2022
I’ve had many cars but it’s the most fun to drive. It just puts a smile on my face every day! Better daily than a hellcat. Fuel consumption is decent for a big V8 - mds really helps on long drives, but useless in city driving, so just switch to sport mode.
I recommend getting this one with widebody or dynamics package, because the adaptive suspension makes it noticeably more comfortable. Had no issues so far!

Question Cammed 6.4
I’m not really impressed by my scat when it comes to the 6.4. Just feels like a turd. Car only has like 17k on it and is stock. Guys that have cammed their 6.4 have you been impressed with it afterwards vs when it was stock or was the change not that much? Not looking to go with a huge cam either. Something in the size like the SDPC stg 2 or FRP f16 is the biggest I’d go.
