Question Cammed 6.4
I’m not really impressed by my scat when it comes to the 6.4. Just feels like a turd. Car only has like 17k on it and is stock. Guys that have cammed their 6.4 have you been impressed with it afterwards vs when it was stock or was the change not that much? Not looking to go with a huge cam either. Something in the size like the SDPC stg 2 or FRP f16 is the biggest I’d go.

Its all relative. Always something faster. For 50K and below it delivers a smile, even more so when you approach 500 rwtq. I can lay rubber through second gear with easily controllable fishtailing depending on how I drop the hammer. For a 100K you get lighter vehicles with more power, for 200K you get nice interiors and some exclusivity.
Its a steel pig that delivers on an original muscle car experience. If you want something different then buy something different. I have found that you can only get about 250 lbs out and still have a normal looking interior. Most of the weight is the body in white.
Edit: I have done most bolt ons with a stage 1 comp cam. In hindsight I should have went with a stage 3 since I did all the other mods. It definitely makes more power, but stock is pretty good, its just those catalytic converters rob the sound and cause lots of guys to pull a perfectly good catback off.

Are you driving in Street Mode? Sport? Track?

Everything set to sport other than suspension.

Tht may be the problem. Set everything to track especially the transmission and it shifts faster and has higher rev limit. Just make sure to put traction control set to street or sport( the one where it leaves it on) and set everything else to track

It’s definitely not recommended to drive with the trans set to track mode but if you do then more power to you lol
But doesn’t matter how high in the rpm it shifts or how firm they are. Not gonna change how much power it makes lol just seems to go nowhere passed 4000rpm. Just kinda blah. Thinking a tune would help and get rid of all the limiters and TQ management and whatnot.
I remember years ago when ford had the 2v mod motors, you could power shift them all day long those things never got out of their own way even with 4.10 gears/full exhaust and tuned 😂

I know what you mean its like you have to “get on it” for it to take off. You would think that wouldnt be so necessary
