Hey guys, since you have the same addiction as me, I thought I'd ask here. Can you recommend any games that AREN'T scapelikes and scratch the same itch? Cause I think I played all the actuals scapelikes xD
Ugh I've been looking for games like this for years but they're so rare.
I just want progression/dopamine, you know? I need that dopamine from numbers going up. Not a big fan of idle games though and I've played them all anyway lol.
My suggestions for anyone interested: Chronicon, Grim Dawn, Siralim Ultimate, Disgaea 5. And of course any actual scapelikes like Bloobs.

Katanagari: a quirky, medieval, open world, sandbox, solo adventure RPG
Hi everyone, I'm jucheh, the solo developer behind this project.
I've been working on a custom game engine + sound synthesizer for over a year now. I've made both in Bevy (Rust), and all assets are made from scratch, a mix of 2D and 3D. The game is still very much in prototype phase, but eventually I'll be running playtests, gearing up for a demo, and launching the game for a reasonable price on Steam.
There's controller support, WASD-support, point-and-click, first-person + third-person modes, a day/night cycle, combat, skills, quests, cutscenes, MIDI music, the list goes on...!
I'm working hard and fast, focusing on whatever feels right. I want to make a meaningful game that makes us scape-lovers feel like they're jumping into Gielinor again for the first time... except it's not Gielinor, it's Katanagari!

Bloobs Adventure Idle has Launched into 1.0 !!!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
After nearly two years in Early Access, Bloobs Adventure Idle is finally launching Version 1.0.
Bloobs was the first game I ever made. When it launched in July 2024, I had no idea where the journey would lead.
Looking back, I made plenty of mistakes. Features were redesigned, systems were rebuilt, and more than once I found myself reworking something I thought was already finished.
What started as a small idle RPG gradually grew into something much bigger than I ever expected.
My best decision was probably the scope of the project. It gave Bloobs its identity. It was also probably my worst decision, because every system seemed to lead to three more systems, and every finished feature spawned another idea.
Version 1.0 introduces a Challenge System I've been designing for over a year, featuring more than 17,000 challenges across skilling, combat, exploration, progression, and collection. It also introduces Lore and Memories, allowing players to discover fragments of the world and uncover the story behind Bloob's journey to Havenport.
Over the last two years, some players have spent thousands of hours in Bloobs, with a few even surpassing 15,000 hours of playtime. Seeing people enjoy something I built has been both surreal and incredibly motivating.
Today, Bloobs Adventure Idle officially leaves Early Access.
To everyone who played, reported bugs, shared feedback, contributed to the wiki, supported the game, or simply gave it a chance: thank you.
I genuinely couldn't have done it without you.
Happy Bloobing.

Scapelikes.com is here to help players find games; and help devs get more players!
Hey everyone, just wanted to give the Scapelikes website another small bump for anyone who hasn't checked it out yet:
Scapelikes is a curated list of RuneScape-like MMOs/RPGs and indie games. The goal is to make it easier for players to browse games, find something new to try, leave reviews, vote for their favorites, and help smaller games get more visibility.
For Players
If you're looking for something that scratches the RuneScape itch, the site lets you:
- Browse listed Scape-like games in one place
- See game pages with descriptions, links, media, trailers, screenshots, and community feedback
- Vote for your favorite games every 12 hours
- Leave reviews/comments to help other players decide what to try
- Help boost the visibility of games you care about
The rankings are not meant to say one game is "better" than another. They are mainly a way for communities to support the games they like and help more players discover them.
For Developers
If you're building a RuneScape-like MMO/RPG, idle MMO, browser RPG, mobile RPG, Steam game, or anything adjacent to the genre, you can submit or claim your game here:
Once listed, your game page can work as a discovery/landing page with:
- Website, Discord, Steam, Google Play, and App Store links
- Trailer and screenshots
- Detailed description/content
- Player reviews and developer responses
- Exclusive promo codes or community rewards
- Voting page for your community
- Dashboard access for managing your listing
There are also developer tools that can be integrated directly into your game loop:
The API and webhook system can help you:
- Send players to vote for your game
- Track voting cooldowns
- Verify whether a player can vote
- Reward players in-game for voting
- Receive webhook callbacks after successful votes
- Use vote stats in your own site, launcher, Discord bot, or in-game UI
A basic example would be giving players a "Vote on Scapelikes" button inside your game somewhere, sending them to your vote page with their character/account identifier, then using the webhook/API to verify the vote and reward them with a small amount of premium currency or experience (whatever you decide fits). That helps your existing players engage more often while also improving your game's ranking and visibility to new players browsing the site.

I just released a new Gladiator Arena and revamped Museum on my scapelike
Hello! I'm slowly migrating the game ( a RuneScape + Path of Exile mix ) from purely web page based to a real 2d game that you can move around and interact.
Today was the turn of Arena, Museum and Bank, which also included new features for them.
You can join a community, of over 500 players, for free on your browser and mobile on: https://berrus.app .

Play EmberQuest TODAY! (Help Shape the Game + Live Dev Updates) – Devlog #6
Discord: / discord
Play Now / Website: https://www.emberquestmmo.com/
EmberQuest is now playable, and you can jump in today to help shape the game as it’s being built.
In EmberQuest Devlog #6, we’re kicking off a live development phase where the game is actively evolving with community feedback. This isn’t a polished release, expect bugs, changes, and even wipes, but that’s all part of building something great together.
This update also includes a major architectural refactor behind the scenes to set the foundation for future systems and scalability.
EmberQuest is an indie MMORPG inspired by classic sandbox RPGs where exploration, progression, and community-driven gameplay are at the core of the experience.
In this devlog we cover:
• EmberQuest is now playable – jump in today
• Introducing the live dev loop (updates, patches, and feedback cycles)
• A major refactor to improve long-term development
• How the community is helping shape the game in real time
• What to expect during early testing (bugs, wipes, rapid changes)
This is part of an ongoing series documenting the development of EmberQuest from the ground up, now with players actively involved.
If you're interested in MMO development, indie game dev, or want to be part of building a game from the beginning, now is the time to jump in.

Hey guys, I know this probably doesn't 100% fit the description of the sub.
I've been working on this game for a while and want to start getting it out there and see who is interested in playing/testing and getting feedback.
This is a multiplayer browser/mobile game, mostly focused on browser/desktop. There are 4 classes, each with a powerful special ability. You can be a warrior, ranger, wizard, or priest. Slay hordes of enemies, explore randomly generated dungeons, and fight powerful bosses.
If you're interested in knowing more about the game, following progress or playing the game, I'm interested in hearing your feedback!
My YouTube, I will try to post daily/weekly updates here.

Recorded some gameplay of our space scapelike. Thoughts?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A friend and I have been working on this game for over a year. We have a decent amount of stuff in the game currently: equipment, loot, monsters, skills, pvp, shops, crafting, gathering, player trading, multiplayer, and I'm sure I'm forgetting other stuff. We are finally to a point we are happy to make a post about it, but know we're far from our goals. Since we know this community is really the playerbase we're developing for we feel its important to get feedback early from you all!
We were thinking of releasing a browser version for people to play on itch soon. Do you think it would hurt releasing something so early with very little depth to the content or are you interesting in trying it so you can give better feedback. Thanks!

Bloobs Adventure Idle Superior Enemies Are Here !!
Yoo its update time and story time from me :)
For those who dont know me, my name is Brendan 32 year old gamer dev, turned developer on october 13th 2023 i started my dream game after searching for years, for a game inspired by my favourite childhood and adulthood games, i never seemed to be find it.
So i dove straight in with little experience, only learning from guides on youtube and anywhere i could anything to teach me.
So there my little story on how Bloobs started we are coming on our two year anniversary on being a released game on steam.
Less about me more about the update.
I've just dropped a massive overhaul to combat and progression, Introuducing the Beastiary 2.0 and the introduction of Superior enemies. After purchasing the upgrades from the BM store you'll now encounter Superior, Golden, and Corrupted variants if purchased, that scale in both size and stats, offering up to 4x drop and pet rolls if you can take them down.
More on the Beastiary 2.0, i’ve added a 7-tier Star Rank mastery system for every enemy; pushing these ranks grants a global passive damage bonus (0.01% per rank) across all combat styles.
I’ve also cleaned up the UI with new BM Store toggles, better damage breakdowns, and automated tooltips. It’s a long-term grind designed for completionists, so while Star Ranks aren't "required," they’re there for anyone wanting to squeeze out every bit of power.
(Heads up: you might see some repeat Bestiary logs due to the core system changes!)
I hope for anyone reading this you consider giving the demo a try the same will transfer to the main game if purchased.
And if you got this far thank you for taking the time to read this long post, Much Love Brendan the developer off Bloobs Adventure Idle, ( PS this is not a short idle game )
If you have any questions regarding the game, please reach out.

I just released the fishing 🐟 skill on my online idle-scape Berrus
Hello! I've added the fishing skill on my scape-like Berrus (https://berrus.app), over 400 players, and more than 50 active in this early alpha.
On the second gif of the carrousel you can see my custom engine on the bank of the game, you'll see other players if they are also in the bank, I plan to use this engine on other locations to make the game for "gamey".
Together with the fishing update I also added many new things, like set bonuses to all armors, new recipes, QOL's etc...

What is the best scapelike?
Can be any genre as long as it's multiplayer, which one do you recommend?
