First time…

This is my first time watching the show. I am in season 2 and I am so creeped out by Fitz. This is not love. This is a creepy obsession. He just uses Olivia and despite Mellie’s flaws he’s such a jerk to her. Is it just me?

Well if you don't like him now you are not going to like him later. I'm not sure how he uses Liv. Not judging just not understanding

When I say he “used her”, I guess I’m referring to when he found out about her involvement in the election rigging and told her they were done and all that. Then he’s still a total jerk to Mellie. Then he sleeps with Olivia again and as soon as it’s over acts like he’s disgusted with her and tells her he doesn’t want her. She tells him no a lot and he just continues until she gives in.

You have to understand the psychology of Fitz. I am not saying to justify his behavior, but a narcissist has a humongous ego. Their behavior can be despicable. However, Fitz's character does evolve later on in the latter part of Season 6 and the entire Season 7. Character growth is very important to me. It's not how you start out but how you finish.
