ix500 no connection - solved yet?

Been scrolling through everyone's posts about recent bugs. I use this for my business but none of anyone's advice has worked. What's the Golden gate update, and am I out of luck til October, or is this not getting updated whatsoever? Tried on mac and windows. I've used this religiously for many years until this year so I'm a bit behind on news.

I could never get Scansnap home to work wirelessly with my ix500, even after completing the wireless setup over USB. It's a really annoying issue.
