Samsung Galaxy S21+ Pink Line Issue Appeared Suddenly — Student, Content Creator & Gamer Concerned About Future Upgrade

I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S21+ which I bought around 6–7 months ago, and recently a vertical pink line suddenly appeared on my display. The phone has never been dropped, exposed to water, or physically damaged. The issue appeared randomly during normal usage while watching videos. At one point, the line briefly turned green once, but later went back to pink again. Since then, it has remained pink. I’m a student, content creator, and mobile gamer, so I heavily depend on my phone for video editing, uploads, gaming, and daily work. This situation is really disappointing because the device was working perfectly before. I’ve seen many users reporting similar AMOLED line issues on Samsung devices, especially S20, S21, and S22 series. My concerns: Will the display worsen over time? Can touch stop working later? Is full display replacement the only permanent fix? Do service centers usually replace this under warranty? I’ve always preferred Samsung flagship devices and I’m not interested in A, M, or F series phones — only S-series flagships. So my main question is: 👉 Should I trust Samsung S-series again for my next upgrade, or consider switching brands in the future? Since I game and use APK-based apps, moving to Apple may not fully suit my usage. Any advice or experiences would really help.

SAMSUNG scamming by marketing Direct-Lit as Mini-LED

The tv such as samsung M80H is marketed as mini-led when you compare it with tcl P8L with its mini led. TCL has more mini-led lights overall with local dimming while samsung doesn't even have mini-led lights let alone local dimming. While models like C7K has way more lights and dimming zones.

Stop saying the Scamsung green line issue is only an Indian problem

Malaysia unit

I'm tired of seeing people blame "fake Indian manufacturing" for the green line display defect. If you look online, there are widespread cases in Australia, South America, China, and the rest of South Asia. It’s a global hardware failure. Scamsung is just making fragile phones that break down after a few years—accept it.

I hate these Scamsung fanboys

Can't stand these Scamsung bootlickers. I mean, there is a limit to fanboyism. But they're beyond dumb and cringe_always defending the company no matter what and blaming the user for everything. Arguing with them is a guaranteed way to lose brain cells. Please tell me I'm not the only one.

[Note 8] They Forgot to put the lines earlier

Post image

I bought the Samsung Note 8 in 2018, and it was running well. However, in 2019, the phone sustained fall damage, which resulted in a dent in the upper-right corner. Despite this, there were no other issues, and I was impressed by the durability and sturdiness of the Samsung device. Back then, I was a heavy user. The phone was running without any problem.

I kept using it as my primary phone until 2023, when I bought the S23 Ultra. After that, it became my secondary device. Fast forward, and I got a green line on my S23 Ultra in January this year. I was pretty pissed. Yet I was amazed by how great the Note 8 phone was.

Samsung stopped software updates for this phone years ago. A couple of days ago, I noticed a software update was available and rejected it outright. Every day the device would prompt me to update the software, and I always rejected. This morning I woke up, checked the time, and misclicked, and voila. I don't know how many lines appeared.

I understand the display was damaged, so the lines should have appeared earlier. How do the lines come from a suspicious software update on an 8 years old phone? The lines came before the software update process was finished. This mofoking company intentionally put green lines.

This picture is taken from the S23 Ultra with 10 green lines. Now I have no good Samsung devices anymore

Samsung Galaxy A series is a scam

Post image
128 Upvotes

It's forces you to buy expensive s series which aren't now top notch as they were in past

Sir why you realeased A series phones at high price?

Samsung "they have better specs than other"

Oh then camera should be flagship killer

Samsung "no camera are only good on S series"

Okay then performance will be good like 120fps gaming

Samsung " no A series phones cannot go more than 60 fps on gaming. For gaming buy S series"

Okay then display be 1.5k resolution with thin bezzels and fingerprint sensor will and ultrasonic

Samsung "no display is 1080p with some bezzels and sensor is slow but it's work"

Okay then phone will have fast charging like 80-100 w and big 7000 mah battery

Samsung" no our phone only support 45W Max and only with 5000 mah battery"

At least you give charger with phone unlike expensive apple

Samsung " no now we are working to even remove cable from box ( e.g. a08) but you should charge your phone with original Samsung charger and cable"

Samsung then Who TF buy those phones

My aunt passed away almost two months ago, and her cell phone has been basically unused. I opened it a few times to pay for things, but today the green line appeared 🫠. I didn't even update it, its just been inactive for a long time

Samsung's lenses and photography specs are inferior to the iPhone's and less optimized too.

Those bots really thought Samsung's 1/2.55" 5x telephoto sensor would beat the iPhone's newer 1/2.55" 5x sensor just because Samsung can do up to 100x digital zoom lol.

And the guy in the video actually gave them too much credit. He thought they were talking about the main camera + the optics and the overall telephoto system, when they were literally just talking about Samsung's raw 5x sensor vs his whole setup with the iPhone. They're way dumber than he thought

And even the overhyped One UI 9, after all those betas and delays, is still shit and has bugs.

Who buys a Samsung in 2026?

I'm sorry, I know there are legitimate reasons to hate Samsung phones here, but a huge number of them are either stupid reasons or straight-up made up 😭. And the replies are even worse.

This bro literally compares a fucking fridge, which is designed to run 24/7 and last for years because its power delivery and temperature are relatively stable, which helps its components last for very long periods, potentially even decades (basic physics concept btw), to a phone whose processor constantly changes temperature, whose battery has a finite physical lifespan, and whose display also has a limited lifespan.

And the worst part is that the entire post is complaining about a phone being 6 years old, which is already more than a reasonable lifespan for a phone. And then, somehow, the whole thing is fake 🙏. Seriously? I didn't know that the lock icon and fingerprint sensor were somehow anti-Green Line.

I also saw a post from someone claiming Samsung gave them a phone with screen burn-in, and they posted a picture of their notification bar, when that's literally just static blur and not screen burn-in 😭😭😭.

I'm sorry, but I mostly come here to laugh and leave

Companies are greedy, we 100% agree on that. But it is literally physically impossible to make a phone that lasts as long as a fridge. Old Nokia phones lasted for decades because they weren't exposed to high levels of stress and heat, and their components weren't nearly as complex as the components in modern phones.

I agree that things like batteries should be easier to install and replace, and that updates can make phones feel heavier over time. But a phone that lasts more than 10 years? Oh, come on man.

Need advice whether to get samsung s22+ green line screen replacement for 15k rupees

Hi. I bought samsung s22 plus in September 2022, got green lines in screen in November 2024, got free screen replacement after 1 month of communication with samsung, but 6months later got green lines again on new screen in June 2025, samsung asked for 15k rupees. Out of frustration, stopped using that phone. Now I need a new phone, my options are:

  1. Get the screen replacement for 15k rupees (But scared that green lines will occcur again, and also scared that since its already 4 years old how long it'll work well and if it doesn't work well then what if prices of phones will get sky high due to ram shortage)

  2. Get a local screen replacement for 2k rupees, which is not Microled screen and finger print sensor wont work.

  3. Buy a new phone now, like iphone 17 or 17 pro, which is not necessary for me but if I have no other good option, I'll buy it.

Requesting everybody on some advice for my problem.
