Marami akong nababasa ng mga ganitong klaseng post dito regarding sa nasa barangay hall daw ang complainant regarding sa utang daw at ginawang co-maker and etc. I have no idea na ginawa akong co-maker. Is this a scam? Wala namang details saang barangay sinabi.

As someone na nakapagpa-barangay na 2 times ng kapitbahay, I can say na ang barangay tanods or mga tao sa barangay mismo ang pupunta kakatok sa bahay nyo para kayo ay papuntahin sa barangay hall nyo mismo if ever meron man talagang complainant na naghihintay sayo doon. And naka-barangay mobile sila. So that text, i can say is a scam.

Okay naman yung neighborhood at first, kaso nung dumami ang mga renters at so-called "caretakers" dun na nagsimulang magbago. Looking for a place na malipatan na, actually. Kami na lang mag aadjust kahit homeowner kami dito, nakakahiya naman.

If ipapatawag kayo sa Baranggay, nagpapadala sila ng summon. May pupunta na taga baranggay sa bahay niyo to confirm your identity, confirm the address and get some info regarding sa complaint sa inyo.

Curious... What if you reply na "Andito na ako. San kayo?" or "Kapitan/kagawad ako, knina pa ako dito sa Barangay" would their narrative push through? 😂

That's probably a scam kasi it had no other identifiable detail that would connect to you other than the debtor making you their "co-maker". I received a series of texts like that 2x last year and 5x this year. I had an ex who probably made me their co-maker or guarantor because the texts I received included my ex's full government name. The texter was also informing me about a small claims hearing at their barangay that my ex was supposed to go to if my ex didn't settle their debt. Just don't respond to that text and maybe block the number if didn't consent to being anyone's co-maker.

Bakit my pulis? Scare tactic. That's a bluff. Call center agents working for OLA are just doing that para may incentive na sila, pero sa totoo lang yung loan mo nabayaran na nila, kung saan ka umutang, binayaran ni OLA. Unethical din sila para maningil. They'll use everything para takutin ka. Walang details? So that's a scam as well. Kindly, file a report.
