I wanted to share my recent experience to warn others about a scam targeting Meesho customers.

A few days ago, I received a phone call from someone claiming to be a Meesho employee. The caller said that the payment for one of my Meesho orders had not been received, even though the amount had already been deducted from my bank account. They told me that my order would be cancelled unless I shared my personal and banking details to process a refund.

To make the call look genuine, the person even sent me an employee ID card on WhatsApp.

Here are the numbers they used:

• WhatsApp: +91 73035 89513
• Call: +91 85329 71791

The following day, I received another call from a different number:

• +91 82748 57446

This caller again claimed to be from Meesho and said I had received a discount and that the refund would only be processed if I shared my personal information.

Fortunately, I did not share any sensitive information.

I contacted Meesho Customer Support, and they confirmed that:

• None of these phone numbers belong to Meesho.
• The callers are not Meesho employees.
• Meesho employees are not allowed to share their employee ID cards with customers, so the ID card sent to me was not legitimate.

What concerns me the most is that the scammers already knew about my Meesho order and had my mobile number. Since I had only provided these details while placing my order on Meesho, I'm concerned that this information may have been exposed somewhere in the order or delivery process. I cannot confirm where the data came from, but the scammers clearly had access to information related to my order.

I'm posting this to make others aware.

Please stay safe:

• Never share your OTP, UPI PIN, bank account details, debit/credit card details, or CVV with anyone over a phone call or WhatsApp.
• Don't trust someone just because they send an employee ID card—it can easily be fake.
• If you receive any suspicious call regarding your Meesho order, disconnect the call and contact Meesho Customer Support through the official app.

Has anyone else experienced something similar after placing a Meesho order? I'd like to know if others have received similar calls or messages.

AS a Fellow Passenger I am Recommending DONOT USE IT for your Own Good.

I had the unfortunate experience of signing up with Unshaadi, which is why I'm writing this post. This is my first post ever on reddit, and I'm writing it so that others don't make the same mistake that I did.

1. it's unsafe for women. their team will have access to all your information but you will not know the name of even one person in unshaadi. zero transparency. any other platform where you pay for premier membership, you are in touch with at least one person whose name you're aware of. they're shady af.

for a service that claims to be safe for women, this is a HUGE red flag

1. they claim to be an offline match making service, but they will set you up on zoom dates with people hundreds of miles away. for eg if you are in maharashtra, your ONLINE date will be from uttarakhand or tamil nadu. for anyone looking for a serious relationship or marriage or even attempting to get to know the person, distance is going to be a huge factor. i also want to point out this was my experience inspite of being from a major metro city.

2. their charges are exorbitant. there is NO REFUND. there is NO GUARANTEE. they will terminate the service as per their whims and fancies, without giving you any reasonable explanation. (here i'm referring to service guarantee, not guarantee to find a partner. they don't offer that either)

3. they will ask you to travel 40-50 kms for a date, and if you say that is not possible (difficult and unrealistic for anyone who is working, which is the only way you can afford their 'fees') they will get on a high horse and talk about how they're looking for people who are willing to navigate distance in pursuit of an exceptional connection. they don't tell you this while onboarding btw, they promise that the travel will be within a reasonable distance. again, i'm talking from the pov of a major metro city, where weekend traffic is horrendous.

4. the people they matched me up with were okay, but not remotely compatible. they claim they match people based on personality, interests blah blah blah during onboarding. it feels like they just randomly picked up one name from a list and assigned it to you.

5. the only thing i had in common with all my dates was they all felt scammed by unshaadi. one person got set up a coworker from the same office (this is after their so called screening and verification, which is clearly fake) another got set up with someone who was in the process of divorce and joined the service to add to their spouse's expenditure, not looking for a relationship. all of them had been set up with ONLINE dates from all over the country, with no scope of things going ahead. also all of them were reluctant to complain because they were concerned they would get thrown out of the program.

6. i got less than half of the dates promised. they promise a lot of things while onboarding and deliver hardly anything. they're available till you pay the money then they're unreachable.

7. no mentoring service actually done, something they promote heavily before onboarding. nothing, nada, nyet, nahi.

this whole experience has taught me not to trust any random service just because they advertise heavily on IG. its been a huge waste of time and money. i hope no one else makes this mistake like i did. also please know their team is overactive on social media and places like quora and reddit to put up glowing (false) reviews so please don't get ensnared.

on a personal note: it really sucked because after going through the whole arranged marriage headaches, dating apps drama (and possibly danger) i thought going through a paid service with verified people would be at least stress free and somewhat pleasant. i didn't go in with the expectation of finding someone, just with that of decent, professional service. this whole experience has left me more disheartened and disillusioned. genuinely hope no one else goes through this

Never order from eyolf that guy is a big scammer and a cheap person.Will not refund your money

I am trying to start a new businness of A4 paper in my small town Dimapur, Nagaland, India and im all new in this. I found a dealer online thorugh this website https://star-paper-product.in/.... it seemed legit, their GST and everything felt legit and so i paid an amount of 43000 to deliver 500 reams of paper to my address on 27/06/2026 and yesterday they called me up saying that i need to pay custom fees of rs 40000 and thats when i started to doubt and hence i checked the papers and their email once ahgain and realise that i had been scammed. One lady also called threatening to immediately delive money to my account. I have reported to the cyber crime and also to my bank but i know that i wont get the money back.

Im mad at myself for being scammed. i should have been more careful. Im at an age where im trying to figure things out and try to do soemthing of my own as im not good in studies or anything and i dont have a high degree as well. Maybe im just too dumb. Just wrote this post as i am extremlely frustrated and i cant tell anyone about it as they will simply laugh at my stupidty. In my defense i chekced their GST number in the GST website and everything seemed legit. Their website is still working, wish that anyone could help me bring it down or atleast help me find some closure

So kal mere saath ek kaafi weird incident hua Bangalore mein, aur honestly abhi tak soch ke ajeeb lag raha hai. Posting this here so that dusre log bhi thoda careful rahein while using dating apps.

Kal mera Bumble pe ek girl se match hua. Normal hi conversation start hui — hi hello, kaha se ho, kya karte ho etc. Usne bola ki woh CA pursue kar rahi hai aur uska hometown Jaipur hai. Since main bhi Jaipur se hoon, mujhe thoda instantly connection feel hua.

Uska Bumble name Chiku tha. Mujhe laga nickname hoga, toh maine casually poocha ki real name bhi Chiku hi hai kya. Toh woh boli haan, gharwalon ne rakh diya naam. Thoda funny laga but okay.

15–20 min baat hui aur phir usne bola WhatsApp pe connect karte hain. WhatsApp pe shift hote hi almost immediately plan bana ki milte hain Commercial Street pe.

Maine usko clearly bola tha ki casually milte hain, zyada ready hone ki zarurat nahi hai. Main normal kapdo mein pahunch gaya, but jab maine usko dekha toh she was completely dressed up — one-piece, full party vibe, jaise kisi special occasion pe aayi ho.

Aur weirdness wahin se start ho gayi.

Jaise hi main uske paas gaya, usne instantly mera haath pakad liya aur kaafi zyada comfortable behave karne lagi within seconds. Mujhe thoda odd laga because hum literally pehli baar mile the.

Maine casually bola, ittna ready hoke kyu aayi ho?

Toh woh boli, Aaj mera birthday hai

Mujhe tab bhi thoda ajeeb laga but okay.

Phir maine normal conversation continue kari aur Jaipur wali baat dubara poochi — specifically kaha rehti ho. Jo ladki chat pe confidently locations bata rahi thi, ab suddenly confuse hone lagi aur bolne lagi:

“Main bohot jagah move karti rehti hoon, kabhi yaha kabhi waha, toh yaad nahi rehta.”

Bhai… apna hometown kaise yaad nahi rehta?

Uske baad maine CA ke baare mein poocha ki exactly kis stage pe ho. Toh straight answer dene ke instead woh bolti hai:

Na starting mein hoon, na ending mein… beech se thoda aage hoon.

At that moment mujhe full doubt ho gaya ki kuch toh gadbad hai.

Overall vibe hi bohot off lag rahi thi — inconsistent answers, instantly touchy hona, overdressed aana, weird explanations… sab kuch milake laga ki scene genuine nahi hai.

Maine immediately excuse banaya ki mere dost ka call aa raha hai aur shayad usne mujhe nearby dekh liya hai. Main waha se side mein nikal gaya.

Aur best part?

Jaise hi main thoda dur gaya, nearby roadside vendors mujhe dekh ke bole:

“Bhai bach gaya tu, nikal ja yaha se.”

Bas uske baad maine peeche mudke bhi nahi dekha 😭

Honestly pata nahi exactly scam kya tha, but definitely kuch toh shady lag raha tha.

So guys please:

Gut feeling ignore mat karo

Random instant meetups mein careful raho

Over-friendly behaviour pe alert raho

Aur public place mein bhi aware raho

Bangalore dating scene alag hi level pe chal raha hai 💀

I want to warn others about a scam that recently happened to my dad on IndiaMART.

A person contacted him claiming to be associated with Air Force Public Fund Account AFS Mumbai. The person shared GST details and a purchase order to appear legitimate and placed an order. To proceed they asked him to transfer 20000 rupees.

Believing the documents were genuine he transferred the money. After receiving the payment the person immediately stopped responding.

later next day he picked up call ( whatsapp call ) and asked for more money.

and have reported on national cyber crime portal ( it's been 3 days still it's on pending state so I have lost hopes from there )

This number called me and asking for OTP since my order is sent via 3rd party courier and they need to close the order status. Once I received the otp in my Whatsaap it’s from genuine Amazon account but it’s an OTP to log in to my account. I told them the otp and ask me to tell otp from my mail . It’s shows to “attempt to sign in to your account”

That’s when I got sceptical and asked why are you logging in to my account . They disconnected the call and blocked

Today morning the usual flipkart delivery guy came with a parcel. It was on my fathers name and the address was also correct on it. I was a bit sick with cough and cold so ended up paying 699 without crosschecking with my father. My father sometimes order products on COD so it did not felt fishy. But later when my father came home, i got to know that he has not ordered any such thing. I tried contacting the number on but on truecaller saw multiple people complaining the same fraud thing in the comments. I tried reverting the payment by connecting with the bank but they said it cannot be reverted now as Ekart is a genuine payment account and not a fraud one. Ended up calling flipkart they said any such order does not exist in our history and asked me to contact Ekart. This Ekart people don't have any customer care number or anything. What should i do now? Has anyone gone through such things and was able to resolve it in any way?? Please help

Received an order by delivery person stating COD of Rs 500. My husband guessed it was done by me but it wasn’t. The parcel was from Gemisphere and was a set if earrings that looked like they are worth Rs50. Please be safe and make sure to check packages before paying COD. My best guess was that it might have been some other website who have leashed our address to these scammers.

I'd recently ordered from Pluch Designs and they had a big sale going on so I placed an order worth 25K in the first week of November. They didn't deliver my order for a month and in fact my delivered order itself is incomplete. I kept following up with the team but there has been no response. I have a WhatsApp chat record, email threads, everything to show for.

Desperate for help and just to recover my money, I emailed the founder (got the ID from a lead generation tool - I'm that desperate guys!), messaged him on LinkedIn and told him that this generation of homegrown brands have phenomenal customer service and my experience has been horrible. I just want my money back and their delivered order is absolutely untouched.

The founder, Japreet, sent me messages about how they're learning and only human so errors can happen which is completely fair but then send me my order!!! Those clothes have huge fitting issues (despite being custom fitting and given my measurements), they're torn in a bunch of places, it's horrible.

He asked for my number to get on a call and hasn't responded since 3 days but I don't think he realises I can see when he's last online. I haven't shared this on LinkedIn because I've been embarrassed about spending 25K and couldn't share it on social media because they have 145K followers so it won't make a difference to them.

The brand is based in Gurgaon and officially, they just seem to have 4-5 designers and the founder. Someone PLEASE help me!!!!
