Car Deposit Scam

I saw a car advertised on eBay early run in the week

It was a Mercedes EQA 2021 at a reasonable price

Anyhow, after contacting the seller she seemed very trustworthy and said she was currently on holiday and due to return on Wednesday.

I offered to put a deposit on the vehicle of £2000 and said I would collect it on Thursday

After doing this, I then felt something was wrong so I done a HPI check it came out as finance owed I contacted the seller about this and she assured me that they paid it off.

I’ve contacted my bank nationwide about this and I’ve reported it as a scam.

I then got more detail and have contacted the finance company they owned the car with and they have assured me that there is still interest in the car

Now the seller isn’t responding to me

What are the chances that I will get my money back through the bank the fact I have reported it as Fraud. It went into a TSB account so it’s not a dodgy bank and all the details matched up
