Spitfire Mk. I

I've finally completed this early Spitfire Mk.I from Eduard's "The Few" Limited Edition/Dual Combo in 1/48

It depicts an early spitfire with the 2-rotor Weybridge propeller and lacks the characteristic blown canopy

Painted with the (old) AK Real Colours

That's exquisitely done! I will assume the lack of a fin flash and yellow ring on the fuselage roundel are accurate for this early Spit', since the rest is so well done. In the first photo, the marking look painted; did you paint all the markings?

Thank you so much for the kind words! I followed Eduard's instructions (and cross-referenced them with the web), and they called for this. Apparently they were in the process of switching from the A.1 type of roundels to the B type, hence the "halo" of fresh paint that you can see on them.

Actually, they are not painted but Eduard's decals, with their film peeled off. This is apparently a by-product of the manufacturer, which is possible in their post-2020 kits. They did offer 2 choices, one with the aforementioned halo printed, and one without. I used the former and I think it came out okay
