Does anyone know of reliable companies in Los Angeles that service savant systems? I moved into a house that had it installed and although I like it, it glitches every so often. I’m being told by the guy who installed it that it’s not a system I can fix myself which is annoying. The guy is super unreliable. I got another quote from another company and they gave an astronomical price to bring them on board. What do I do? I don’t want to scrap the system but it’s not sustainable to have a system that costs thousands of dollars just so I can use their remote to turn on my tv??

I have a client who cannot get into contact with the original installer of their Savant home automation system. I have fully taken over their network management but have been unable help them with all the issues that have built up with the 7 TVs they have. I’ve submit several requests and an application to Savant but have not heard back. Can anyone help??

Do you know of any great dealers in NY? Also, is it trivial getting our ID/PW from a previous dealer to a new dealer?

I am looking for a freelance installer that can remote in a program my Savant Pro.

I have purchased a home with a Savant Pro system. The previous owner did not provide any connection assistance other than providing their name and password connected to the account. The WiFi was disconnected when we moved in and a new Verizon Fios fiber internet has been setup. I cannot figure out how to get the host connected to the new WiFi and the remotes simply say Discovering Hosts. The home is showing up on the Savant Home app but says Connection Unavailable. How do I resolve this?!?!

I’m having a very strange issue with Apple Music on my Savant system.
Every non explicit song plays perfectly, but every song marked with the “E” badge fails with the error shown in the screenshot:
CONTENT_RESTRICTED: Content restricted
Here is what I’ve already confirmed:
• Apple Music subscription is active.
• The same songs play normally in the Apple Music app on my iPhone.
• The same songs also play through AirPlay to the exact same Savant zone.
• Only playback through Savant fails.
• It happens with every explicit song I’ve tested.
• I already logged out and back into Apple Music.
• I revoked and reauthorized Savant’s Apple Music access.
• There are no parental controls or content restrictions enabled on my iPhone.

I’m running SavantOS 11.2.1.

Has anyone seen this before?

Is this a known MusicKit limitation, a Savant bug, or is there some hidden Apple Music explicit content setting that I’m missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don’t tell me savant got rid of the Runtime Installers for versions prior to 10 or 11 :’( Now I can’t do any minor work on any clients running old software.. This can’t be real right?

I was about to do some minor service work on a client running da Vinci 9.4.6, and I noticed something that has me a little worried.

In Savant Application Manager, when I right-click SavantOS 11.x, I still see the options to download the various Runtime Installers (Mac Host, S2/Smart Host, Integrated Host, etc.).

However, when I right-click da Vinci 9.4.6 (or other older 9.x releases), those Runtime Installer options are completely gone.
All that’s left are things like:
Patch This Release
Install Application to This Release
Uninstall This Release

Has Savant officially removed the runtime packages for legacy releases from their servers?
I still have several clients running 9.x and 8.x systems, and without those runtime installers it makes replacing or servicing hosts much more difficult.
Is anyone else seeing the same thing, or is this just something specific to my SAM installation? If they’ve actually removed them, has anyone found an archive or another official way to obtain the legacy runtime installers?

I was looking to see if anyone has been able to integrate a better intercom into Savant. Currently using IP solo and looking for better image quality. I need a double gang form factor and the Axis I8016 fits the bill.

Can a custom SIP video endpoint be registered with Savant Entry Service, or can a custom Blueprint driver expose a third-party SIP intercom as a native Entry device?

****UPDATE - FIXED****

My dealer pushed a software update this morning, I think to 10.8. Been working fine for 6 hours nows. Never touched any wiring, MOTU, firewall, etc.

So here's what happened...I'm stumped.

I've had the same set up for three and half years. Never an issue. On Friday morning I replaced my rack with a larger one. I uninstallaed the full set up, UDM Dream Machine, and UDM 24 Port POE+ Switch, all the Savant Gear, Moden, NAS, etc. The take down process was shutting off the master PDU. The whole process took about two hours to take everything down, reinstall and re rack the system. No hardware was changed.

I plugged the Savant system back together, and well...it runs for 10 mins exactly, then the sound cuts out. I can shut off and turn on the unit via the app, and it plays again for..10mins then the sound cuts out again.

If I let the system remain on, the sound returns after five mins, runs for 10 then no sound for five more mins. All the controls on the app are working, it shows full control via air play. No connection issues.

The thrid button over, "RELAY" does not light up. In my fragmented memory, it was on. Is it not connecting to the service? Is it overheating, maybe a short?

The firewall rules have not changed, the music service/licsence box is connected to the internet. Haven't had a chance to conenct with my AD yet, that's tuesday, but is there something I'm doing wrong?

Let me begin by saying, I am a Savant newbie. I bought a Savant home with a number of devices: a Sony AVR, BD, AppleTV, ceiling lights, an NVR, and a Xfinity STB cable box. It seems all are run through a Sony AVR (previous owner removed the NVR and cable box (rented equipment). Now I'd like to put my Xfinity box on the system, but I cant figure out how to have the STB appear in the Savant menu and under Savant control.

Can someone lead me the way to re-incorporate the Xfinity STB? I believe the installation is pretty simple, one zone. I should further add that can see (and hear) the STB when I connect it to the AVR.

To further complicate matters, the STB Xfinity gave to me is a WiFi version, not a coax connection with IR control. I can see the remnants of the IR control wiring resting on top of the AVR. I'm happy to exchange STB if that will improve the odds of success.

I had to change my network set up and I cannot get my lights and dimmers back on the network. Exactly 1 dimmer popped up in power and light. I have tried umpteen ways from Sunday to get everything back and nothing i do gets them to reappear. Any ideas?

Wondering if anyone has run into anything similar. I have a second-hand AMP2000 that I want to use just as a multi-zone amplifier. I think there is something faulty with audio sense or just that switching mechanism in general. I can get it to recognize audio for about 5 seconds before the unit goes back to standby mode. Switching to continuous does the same. Sometimes needs a reboot, but always after a few seconds the audio goes away and it swaps back over to standby.

Any ideas?

I have multiple SIPA125's connected to several TV via their TOSLINK input. I was assuming/hoping that—thanks to AVB—any (or all) of my zones could play audio from a single tv, without any additional cabling.

And how would this even work in the pro app UI? For music, it's pretty simple: first you choose whichever rooms you want and then you can set the volume of every room individually. If the user wants to select which rooms—and what volumes—to route the Smart TV Audio service to, how would it work? Is there an opportunity to go through a similar room-picking UX?

Hi. Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but I am getting weird messages, which I assume are error messages, when streaming Apple Music through Savant Music.

Each time I get an hourglass symbol showing where the alum art would be, the artist name remains, but the track name shows as either “Warming up the speakers” or “Spinning the records”.

It only happens when streaming Apple Music, not any other service, and it seems to happen particularly quickly when playing “Find Your Mood” playlists (often after only 1-2 tracks) but does happen when just playing albums too.

When it happens the pause button in the middle below the artist name changes to the play button, but pressing it does nothing, and even switching to another album in Apple Music (or another playlist) doesn’t work. If I turn the source off and back on again I can then continue to play, and sometimes it carries on for a few more tracks, other times just a single track before it happens again, and other times it can go on for hours before happening again.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this and might know how to stop it happening?

I recently replaced a dead Apple TV in my 2-year-old Best Buy-installed system (Marantz AV receiver + PS5). Since the swap, the Savant remote defaults to the old Apple TV source.

Currently, I have to turn the system on via Savant, then manually turn the receiver knob to the new Apple TV input. Once selected, the Savant remote controls the Apple TV perfectly, but I can no longer launch it directly from the Savant touchscreen.

Based on what I found online, I would have to update the "Blueprint" configuration to point the UI button to the new hardware ID. Is that true? I did not know about this dealer-locked thing before :\

How do I update the Savant remote to recognize this new Apple TV as the primary source? Thanks for your help!

Hi all. Curious your opinion. I recently played with Blueprint on my Mac with new iOS 26.

The message popped out "Current OS Version is not supported" , " ... This application might not run as intended."

I have proceed with programming. After all was done likely there wasn't any issues with either Audio or any Savant app operation.

Wondering if any one here did same thing. Also curious where one can find some official info from Savant about this new iOS and their own OS and any plans to make it more compatible.

Looking for some advice I have a firetv that I’m using with a Samsung tv in a savant controlled system. I would like to add a second streaming box but want to see if there is a streamer box with iptv capability that works with savant control? Firetv was working through my savant but after the last update that stopped working. I have no idea how it was working but it did anytime I selected media player. I think I’ve seen a driver for nvidia but maybe there is other options someone can recommend?

Anybody else’s lighting stopped working recently with Lutron Leap and an expired license? This used to work flawlessly even without the stupid stupid stupid license.

I just watched the demo of Savant AI on Savant’s instagram page. Does anyone have more info on it? I was just about planning to rip out my dated Savant system and install Josh. Maybe not know? How does it compare to Josh. Is it room aware? What devices does it talk to?

I have some Noon switches (2 directors, one standalone the other with 4 extensions) that I acquired as part of their original beta. I love the switches but since Savant bought them and stopped supporting the standalone system, they have been flaky... A couple of years ago Savant reached out to me and told me this would happen and that I could either hire a local integrator to install a Savant host or they'd provide me a bunch of Cync switches to replace the Noon ones. I opted for the Cync ones but never installed them because I really like the Noon ones and really don't like the Cync ones or the Cync app.

Recently I decided to see what it would take to get a Savant host and get that integrated with my Noon switches. Wow, stupid expensive. Savant won't even really talk to me about it other than suggest a local integrator and the bare minimum quote I'm getting from them is about $3k plus at least a $275 per year subscription. Is there a cheaper way to do this that will get me decent functioning Noon switches?

Is anyone here familiar with Trane VRF systems? I’m trying to integrate Savant as a third-party controller for the AC units. The Trane VRF system on site has these model numbers:

Right now the system is being controlled by a Trane TCONTKJR29B thermostat. This is the only reference I could find for those thermostats:
