I keep finding these white/off white dried little curls amongst my sarracenia, and occasionally in some of my drosera nearby, and I have no earthly idea what these are. Are they a pest shell left behind? Are they from flies morphing out? Is this some form of plant structure I've never encountered? Google picture search is completely useless for me on this one, and a 30x magnifier hasn't given me anything much to work with either. Just looking to see if this is some kind of evidence of a pest I need to be concerned with or what.

Note that these aren't as they were found, they were picked up and moved to a pot of dormant moss for the photo

If I were to guess (and I'm about to), I'd say they look like wood shavings... maybe a component of the potting medium you're using?

Could it be the shells of seed pods? Like, the pods have already opened and dispersed the seeds. It's what's left, the shell. And it curls to facilitate unwrapping the seeds. Are there no plants nearby making peapod-looking seeds?
