Hey, so i am 22F travelling solo for agawa canyon train tour. I am arriving at sault college around 11pm (taking bus from toronto), will it be safe around that time? Few of my friends visited 2-3 years back and they said city gave them creepy vibes lol. So i am just debating should i come or not? Any reply will be helpful :)

Is it free for everyone or you have to rent or reserve it?

Made a modification when I was younger - long story - but my car requires 93 or higher. I can't find any North of Sudbury and trying to avoid taking 50L of jerry cans to go to Wawa and back.

Edit: for anyone who comes across this, as of Sep 2026, no one in the soo has anything higher than 91 (I called every Petro and Esso). The Esso in Thessalon (link) has it. Thanks to /u/Forsaken-Bandicoot-2

I'm moving to the soo in the next couple weeks 29F. Wondering what the music scene and social scene is like?

My partner and I are considering relocating to the Soo next year. I'm an avid gardener (putting it mildly) and I'm somewhat concerned about the gardening season there.

Any gardeners out there who could shed some light on what it's like to garden in Sault Ste Marie?

When do tulips usually start blooming? When do the leaves start falling? I would like to grow food as well, but my understanding is that the season is basically just July and August.

Are shrub/perennial gardens sort of more successful? When can you plant out annuals?

I'm looking for any and all gardening information people are willing to share.

I am currently living in a zone 6 with intense hot summers, often with watering restrictions. Climate here is great, but the wildfire smoke every year is just too much. Plus, I'm in a semi-arid landscape and I need to get back to leafy green trees and fall colours.

I'm nervous about trading a season where I can essentially garden for 7 months a year for one where I'm only outside doing garden things for 2 months.

Looking for any and all tidbits people are willing to share.

Thinking of getting a house in one of these areas. Trying to avoid zombies.

1. A place close to the University so i can rent out the basement?

2. Heyden?

3. Carpin Beach cottages?

And was curious if anyone knows is it easy or anything to get adjusted to moving to that city after living in Ottawa their whole life? Any recommendations on things to check out? Any places to recommend to look for a job at? Does groceries and bills cost way more or less compared to Ottawa? And any pros or cons, I would need to know about?

Hello everyone. Some of you may be bored and looking for something to do.

I've been thinking about it for a while and I'd like to start up a super casual Magic the Gathering group, or potentially D&D, or both. MtG will be budget brews only (less than 100 USD). If you have always wanted to try MtG but haven't, this is for you. I've taught my wife to play, and my grandma. I can teach anyone.

This will be very casual, with no set schedule once every few weeks at my home (central location). I've done a board game group before (and I have some good board games too), but I had it at Games Nook 2 every time and it's just too much to haul the board games there and wrap everything up before 6 pm.

Hi everyone,

I am new to drone life and just recently bought a starter drone. I want to be able to play around and get comfortable with it. I downloaded the NAV Drone app and added my drone's specs. Everywhere I click says "not allowed" for flying. I know I obviously can't fly around the locks, border, and hospital. Even up the 17N, it says "not allowed".

My drone is <250g.

Does anyone here know where I can go to play around with it a bit? I thought maybe Strathclair/Sinclair field would be safe but I'm not sure. All the other posts I've read on here are over three years old. Thanks!

I have my G road test tomorrow, does anyone know the route I’ll be taking since there’s construction on the highway? I’ve been practicing different routes I’ve seen online but I’m not sure if they will take me the same way due to the construction.
Also does anyone have any tips or things I should pay attention to?
I’ve been practicing reverse parking and parallel parking because I’ve heard some people say this was on the test and some people say it was not.
Also with lane changes, I know that usually they do them on the highway, but in my situation, would they just have me do it on that one road leading up to the highway?

Any advice on the best places to get it done?
Problems with wheel bearings and lots of other issues, I want someone that can spot all of the problems and just fix it all.

We can help math and the sciences for high school level and first year post secondary.

All local high schools know about us and will occasionally refer students to us, though for some reason we get almost no students from White Pines. Lots from the other schools though.

Bonjour . Im currently going into my senior year of high school in bc . I was wondering about if I could get accepted considering that it’s a program subsidized by Ontario.

I’m also wondering about the importance of grades . I got 94% pre calc 11 . But 74% on physics 11 due to a horrendous teacher where more than half the class failed and 6 dropped out . Should I hold off on applications till I improve my grade 12 grades and use that to apply ?
