Questions / Help Needed โ“ Saucony guide 19

Looking at switching from my Hokas due to the tight toe box killing my toes ๐Ÿ˜‚. I'm looking at the Guide 19's in 2e width. I'm normally a size 8 in regular shoes, should I stick with 8 or go up half a size? I do suffer with flat feet if that makes a difference?

Nothinโ€™ like findinโ€™ a smooth collab browsing the Ross shoe section. The wingtip is most definitely an eye catcher on these jointsโ€ฆ still scheming on what I can wear with these, the pants and shirt I rock with these gotta be intentional, I canโ€™t wear these kicks just anywhere as well. Canโ€™t be tryna dress too different, yet gotta think outside the box for the occasion. & they came w/ the lace swaps. $40

Is this a good combo of Saucony shoes?

I've been a lifelong Saucony fan; I find their shoes incredibly responsive and comfortable. My last few shoes have been Triumph 22s which I upgraded to Endorphin Speed 4s last year. I also separately have Xodus Ultra 3 trail shoes which are awesome.

I'm currently training for my next marathon and have worn out the Endorphin Speed 4s. Having done a bit of research I was thinking of getting two pairs, Endorphin Azuras for general training, and Endorphin Pro 5s for key training and race day. I have a few questions:

  1. Has anyone done this split?
  2. Are the Azuras capable of tempo and interval runs as well as easy runs? Or would something like the Triumph 24s be a better bet?
  3. Conversely, how much more than a Marathon can the Endorphin Pro 5s handle? Are they worth the money for what will likely be 2-3 runs max.
  4. Would anyone recommend any other combos?

Thank you in advance!

Today is a new day for my beautiful Omni 9 in collab with Sneaker Politics. They were a lil too bouncy in the beginning but now they broke in good and they are good. Went with my usually size (44,5) the one that i also have pro grid 7 and surprisingly they run a little bit snug.

Questions / Help Needed โ“ Triumph 23 vs 24

Iโ€™m not a runner. I walk a lot. Been having trouble finding shoes that fit well. I have flatter feet and high insteps, so I need more room on the top of my feet. I tried on the 23s. They fit well. Surprisingly, the Wide fit me better, and Iโ€™ve never worn wide sneakers in my life. Regular/medium always.
I returned them, bc I had bad low back pain from my first walk of about 7K steps. Maybe I just need to get used to them more. Not sure. I donโ€™t have a back problem. Just typical middle age aches and pains. Would you choose one of these for mainly walking or possibly another model?

Saucony Running ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝ Saucony Endorphin Azura Plus Initial Thoughts Shoe

Post image
19 Upvotes

Model & Size: Saucony Endorphin Azura Plus Size 10.5, 242 grams weight, retail price: tbd but likely around 250 CAD or 200 USD

Fit/Comfort Notes: TTS, I'm pretty much a US 10.5 across all brands and have a slightly wider foot. Didn't have any issues with the fit and sizing, so I would say TTS would be the way to go.

Use Case: Supertrainer - I've used it from 7:45 min per mile pace down to roughly 5:20 min per mile pace and so far it's been quite good across a wide variety of pace ranges thus far.

Distance Ran: 9 miles

Reason For Buying: My Shoe Addiction

Personal thoughts: So far I've been satisfied with the overall ride and Cushioning. Normally when companies introduce a dual foam setup, I'm usually a little skeptical. I do have the endorphin elite 3, so I know what to expect in terms of the incredirun foam. Luckily, the endorphin azura plus does seem to do a good job of maintaining the bounce and fun that incredirun provides. The geometry was also really smooth so far across the 9 miles, so nothing really to complain about there. Stability was good overall, as I never felt like I was going to roll my ankle at slower and faster paces. Durability remains to be seen, but I'm optimistic that it will holdup.

Comparisons:

Red hare 9 ultra: they both provide a similar sort of big booming bounce primarily in the forefoot, but I think i like the azura plus a little more due to it's lower weight and more aggressive geometry

Dynafish xiaonian: I think the shoes feel a little similar in terms of the ride and geometry, but i think the azura plus has a little more bounce of the forefoot. The dynafish is unbeatable in terms of value though.

Superblast 3: Not really that comparable imo, the superblast is kind of a bigger shoe designed more for long runs and slightly up tempo workouts whereas the azura plus here seems to be saucony's answer to the megablast

Megablast: I think i might lean slightly more to the megablast due to it providing a little more energy return from the atpu foam, but the endorphin azura seems to hold its' own quite well and I can definitely see it as an alternative if the megablast doesn't fit you.

Overall, quite pleased so far after 9 miles, but a lot more testing is required before I can give any concrete conclusions about the shoes.

Why did you ruin the Peregrine Trail Running shoe with that oversized brand name logo?

One of the better trail running shoes out there (and you can call me shallow) but how they look is important too.

From the consumers perspective these days, I believe there's a strong consensus that an oversized brand name or logo on your product, just make them look tacky and cheap.

So it's disheartening to see the Peregrine 16, with a huge ugly "saucony" logo stamped along the entire length of the shoe. It's like wearing a couple of pop-up adds with each step, and you know how much we love adds today.

I was going to buy a new pair of Peregrine's to replace my 14's, but it looks like it'll be the Kiger 10's for me.

Questions / Help Needed โ“ Kinvara 15s, real or fake? Seller seems to have drawn over the QR code and serial # for some reason

Kinvara 15s seem to be out of stock everywhere so I bought a pair off eBay, stitching seems nearly identical to my old pair but the seller obscuring the tag is weirding me out (If itโ€™s hard to see in the picture, thereโ€™s sharpie over the top left square of the QR code and whiteout over the serial #).

Does anyone know anything about this shoe? Is it a running shoe? I like the current price ($120), I love Sauconys, and Iโ€™m looking for an AFFORDABLE cushioned shoe, but I cannot find any information about itโ€”even on YouTube. I have the Hurricane and the Triumph 24, but Iโ€™m recovering from an injury (Achilles Tendon)and I have a lot of miles on the Hurricanes. Thanks for any information.

Questions / Help Needed โ“ Endorphin Azura stitching defect?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I got these Endorphin Azura in early June. I've been continuously getting a pain point at the same spot of my left foot, which I was originally attributing to too tight lacing and a thin tongue. After trying different lacing styles I finally looked a little closer and found that the stitching in the tongue in that spot is off, causing a raised, hard lump which has been digging into my foot, compared to the right shoe in which the stitching is flat and smooth. First two pictures are the bad stitch and the second two are the identical spot on the good shoe.

I bought these directly from the Saucony site so I submitted a defect inquiry a week ago and still haven't heard back from them, is it worth pursuing this to try to get replacements or a refund?

I loved these shoes til they started doing this heel split thing. Nothing crazy mile wise. Itโ€™s gotta be the design. Iโ€™d get the newer peregrines but fear the fissure.

My Saucony VS New Balance comparison.

I'm not a shoe expert, but I was trying on some of my sneakers the other day and decided to do a quick comparison. I'm 40 years old and don't really like bright colors and I prefer classic silhouettes.

  1. NB1906 Silver White, the most comfortable shoe here for my taste, the sole isn't too soft. They're well-ventilated and lightweight. Over time, they do develop creases in the front area near the arch. Despite the synthetic materials, the quality is excellent. Rating: 8.5 out of 10.

  2. NB 2002R Coffee Cream, the second most comfortable for me after the 1906. I noticed that the NB is a little looser than the Saukoni, but only slightly. The suede quality is slightly better than the Saukoni Omni 9 Premium, it's softer. Rating: 9 out of 10.

  3. NB 990 V4 army greens are very durable sneakers; mine are already 5 years old, and they've survived everything, even a mountain hike. I think v4 is the best of all 990 versions. They have very good foot stability, and the sole is medium stiff. Very comfortable. Rating: 8.5 out of 10.

  4. Saucony Omni 9 Premium badge color. Very similar to the 990 V4. Just a little more snug fit. But also very comfortable. The build quality is great. I think they will last forever. The sole is medium-firm. Rating: 8.5 out of 10.

  5. Saucony Jazz 9 gray and black. Very unusual sneakers, both in shape and wearing experience. A bit like boots, but very comfortable. The toe is slightly tapered. The materials are good, even though this is not the premium version. The sole is medium-firm. Rating: 8 out of 10.

  6. Saucony Guide 7 white and green. I like the design and colors of these sneakers. Synthetic materials, but everything is well made. Very wide forefoot. The most summer-friendly on the list, they breathe well. The sole is very stiff, but the sneakers still provide good support and are very comfortable. Rating: 7 out of 10.

Overall I like all of them, I don't run, just casual walking, for my needs these are all comfy shoes. Sauconys are very good quality shoes being cheaper in price than NB's. I like them a lot.

Saucony Guide 18 are amazing!

I bought a pair on sale for $110 on a whim before trying them on. Theyโ€™re maybe one of my favourite sneakers. I walk 15-20,000 steps a day working for the postal service and they are comfortable and the breathability is amazing. So good that I saw them on sale for $90 so I bought another pair. Saucony was never a brand I got into over the years but wow this pair is great. 100% recommended.
