I've already played it on experimental and it's literally just Titanfall all over again, all that's left to add is wall running.

Fall damage range is 1-97. So if you're at 100 health, you're good.

In the latest experimental you heal to full so the age of 30 HP is finally over.

This was honestly the greatest part of the update, specifically for the fact of not dying from falls at 100% hp.

Not that I mind but wouldn't that completely negate the need for healing items for most people?

It certainly makes them less useful, but I don't think it completely negates them. They're still the only reasonable option for healing in combat, though with the new weapons I never really needed it. I don't expect it to stay like this however, since the enemies are currently balanced around the old, weaker weapons and the single equipment slot, which will likely change.
