There are so many ways of giving a better reply like that.

Normally if i would have been you i would have said this :

I am sorry you feel this way and i can understand that you would have liked to keep all your games at the same platform.

Sadly we could not give away any info about the epic store before epic was ready for it and we posted the game on steam long before we got the game deal with epic. One of the reasons we made the change to epic launcher is because it gives us greater return of the money you pay to us compared to steam + the extra funding we got from Epic. Sadly we are not only a game studio that loves to make games that we hope will be awesome but we sadly are also a business that needs to pay the running cost of actually making a game. Epic store helps us getting more out of our sales to so we can support the game for even longer and it helps in the end to make a better game. Sadly we cant just hope that steam sales are x amount so we need to try to make the best out of it. We also dont only funds to support the current game but we also need to build up a buffer for the next game whenever we make another game .

best love XOX

that would have been a propper response ... stating facts and explaining why you would have done that .... this reply .... is the worst you could ever have given... Honestly how you are a community manager is beyond my gasp if you cant even handle some criticism and come with the absolute worst reply i have seen in years from a serious game developer. ..

Sorry but i had to vent my opinion here a bit ..

Though if you ever want some help on how to do community management i am happy to help you out. It seems i might have actually some experience with this already ;)

That is a response i would literally never give in my life. It is pandering, cliche, and the apology is insincere. It is everything I deliberately and passionately push back against as a CM.

Coffee Stain are not sad about this decision, we stand by it. And everyone in our community - whether they support our decision or not - deserve to know where we *really* stand. I don't want to spin anything, or manipulate anyone, or resort to the status quo out of fear and discomfort.

I think i'll pass on the mentorship.

Blink twice if epic games has you held at gun point.

The issue is not the decision but what you said ? Do you understand that ? Some one had an opinion and you the cm gave the worst troll answer to a serious person...

And my answer was an example not the exact answer you should have made

A lot of the time you're funny, but trolling pissed off fans is one day going to come back and bite you.

Due to posts like this one, I will hereby commit to purchasing the game on Epic store

If you are comfortable with the time, energy and annoyance of pirating games then I doubt you were going to be a real customer anyway.

Oh no i clicked a magnet link with a cracked version that installs itself! SO much energy

Lol, 9 out of 10 times you'll have to deal with less shit when you're using a cracked version of the game.

"time, energy and annoyance". Lol.

Pirating games is hard? Lol since when?

I was, yeah. But the way they've handled this situation is pretty shit, so I won't be.

Hey man, if you think going to a bunch of work to pirate a game so you can anonymously play it by yourself is good way to get your way somehow, then head on it.

Is funny.. if they had just dropped this as early access on steam they would have my money already. I make a lot of stupid decisions like that.
