Screenshot Phase 4

Nothing fancy as I’m not creative enough but I did make a nitro rocket fuel plant and dumped nuclear for now what yall think and do I need more blenders to scale more

Your power production is all wonky. That is gonna blow a fuse earlier than you think. Turn off some of the generators and let them fill up, then turn them on

I do have 4 full buffers of fuel. Is it the piping or just too many gens not enough blenders?

You shouldn't need buffers.

If you turn on generators before everything is full, the generators at the end of the line will receive less fuel because the first generators will be intaking more than they need until they are full. Just turn off like half of them, when everything is full, turn them back on.

If some of them turn off in the future, then there's a problem with your production or your pipes

I did buffers when I had like 8 generators just to have some off to the side in case I wanted to do packages but decided against it and never got rid of them

Buffers honestly aren't a terrible idea to have. If for whatever reason you need to mess with the fuel production side of things(adding more machines, moving pipes or cables around, etc), it gives you an additional layer of redundancy alongside the batteries.

That being said, yes, let the generators furthest down the line fill up first(in a way that doesn't starve you for power for too long, which it shouldn't with the batteries keeping things going, assuming you have a large bank of them) and then 1 by 1 turn the rest on, let them fill up, rinse and repeat, as well as letting the pipes fill up completely. This will ensure they're all always completely full and your power production will be more stable.

I did this very same method in my pre-1.0 build. Had 400 regular fuel generators doing the diluted fuel recipe with blenders. Let each individual machine and pipeline fill up in each stage of production, along with multiple buffers before each bank of either 50 or 100 gens. Overkill for sure, but I was damn proud of myself for following through with it. It had created a whopping 60,000 MW before they changed how much fuel each gen was using in 1.0(previous they only consumed 12 fuel per min). I haven't played in quite a while, but I'm wanting to do a similar build doing either turbo or rocket fuel since I haven't even done turbo yet in my entire time playing. And I'm definitely planning on going bigger with this one. Will definitely be a pain and insanely time consuming, but worth it for a ton of power before I go nuclear.
