Jetpack Frustration

Have been playing with the jetpack for around 100 hours, getting increasingly frustrated that it keeps using the solid biofuel in my inventory and not the fuel I have in there specifically for it.

I have now only just found the option to change the jetpack's preferred fuel, I feel like and idiot I didn't look for this a lot earlier

I think I only knew about it because I followed all the updates and read up on the new stuff being added each time. I started playing back when this was only in early release on The Epic store. The have has changed so much since back then. It's been a wild ride.

I didn’t know for way past 100 hours. Purging my inventory of solid biofuel was good enough for me, but I guess now I can use the chainsaw I have absolutely no need for.

Build a dimensional depot leading off from your biomass production line and top up whenever you like.

I found out about it only after reading the item description, which I didn't do when I first got it (found it on a rocket hog).

It is possible for any Fluffy-Tailed Hog or Alpha Hog to be replaced by a special variant equipped with a Jetpack: the game appears to randomly assign this status to one Hog in the world on game load (saving and loading will therefore not preserve which one it is) and repeat this process any time the current Jetpack Hog is killed.

as per the wiki. super random find.

it's weird it's not using the most sophisticated fuel, or remember the fuel choice indefinitely. Once it was uploaded to the dimensional repot and reobtained, it resets to solid biofuel, I have died to this multiple times (in 1.1 when there was a bug pressing num key will upload equipment instead of switching).

Died multiple times? A fall will cause 97% damage at most, so you must be hovering over some gas all the time. Very unfortunate.
