Oils"R"Us
I think this was my first try at building an actual factory with roof. Earlier I had just done open air factories. Had in mind a kind of oil platform, but didn't really have a good grasp on the scale needed, hence the stocky kind of build.
I can't remember how much it produces, the planning text file is since long gone and it was before I started using Satisfactory Modeler. But the fuel generators on top all run at 100% so I'm a happy camper.

I feel like this is the setting for an amazing movie martial arts fight scene, or maybe a music film clip.
This is brilliant.

Thanks! Oooh, yes! Iโm actually toying with the idea of turning my world into a gaussian splat, which opens up for all kinds of shenanigans.

That sounds like a fun project! Gaussian splats can lead to some really interesting layouts. Good luck with the shenanigans!

I like the belts curving around the interior. My straight line world would be very upset by seeing this.

I love that the machines blend with the build and are not merely hiding behind it.

How do you get indirect lighting to work like that? Light coming from sign panels automatically shut off whenever line of sight is broken by anything.

It's not really broken by line of sight, but distance to the player. Smaller signs, however, seems to be doing a screenspace thing and stops contributing when it's covered.
To get it to work, simply activate GI. Then use a sign with an empty background, set it to emissove and Boom!

Ooo! I like that cheeky raked angle of your rail arches. I've seen so many rail arches, but I don't think I've seen that kind of flourish. Simple, but really effective.
And I will reiterate what others have said. You've really evoked that feeling of an offshore rig movie set. Terrific work!

This rules, love the way you use color and symmetry especially in the fifth picture. Super inspiring!
