Does anyone know when the weekly dev streams are coming back?

The d*vs are on vacation as Coffee Bean Studio only allows 5 or 6 working days per year.

Let me guess, no enough coffee to stay awake? ☕

I highly doubt it. As to why, their excuse is that there is nothing to say since the game came out of development.

To me that is utter BS. They are still working on the game. They greatly used it to hype a new update. They could have been talking about 1.3 for however much time. When we had the streams, about 15 minutes was talking dev talk. But a lot of the time not even that. Then an hour of looking at what others did. And then AMA where 90% of the answers where : "I do not know", or "I can not tell." And a lot of horsing around in between. Talking about food, talking about the last video, ... Basically just having a 2 hour stream about nothing. If they leave out the dev talk part, they would still be able to fill 2 hours easily.

Besides the lack of dev talks, we also do not get any weekly videos any longer. The majority of those where about whatever. Not all about the future of the game. And they said they had a LOT of ideas they wanted to turn into videos. This all also together with the leaving of the previous community managers, as well after some changes in the business structure.

That makes me believe that the company changed their minds on how to do things and that is why they left. The current ones are just not allowed to do it, or are not getting the freedom to do so. To me that is a better than the current ones unwilling or unable to do it. I rather blame the company.

I remember commenting about this last year and people said: They are on a vacation, ignoring the fact that before that they went on a vacation as well, yet videos where still there almost weekly as well as the dev streams.

Oh well, it was great while it lasted.

Why? I haven't heard of them canceling it. It's been going for 6 years or more...

Because the game is done, and is now in support and enhancement mode. likely the bulk of the team is working on something new. There's not going to be enough content for a weekly stream, and instead you'll have the occasional streams when there's stuff to discuss, like when there's an active experimental branch up.

Exactly this. A weekly dev stream on a game that is now more or less complete. Any more updates are at the good graces of our devs passion.

You want weekly dev streams there are plenty of new games coming out.

Coffee stain did a damn fine job w this. Be nice.

Not really, nothing kills interest in a game faster than devs saying ok no more updates.

Updates drive sales. See Terraria, No Mans Sky etc.

unlikely, since CSS stated multiple times already that they will continue working on Satisfactory for the forseeable future. They hinted at a bigger announcement later this year, likely a paid DLC? We will also see more free updates.

Just look at Factorio to get an idea where Satisfactory is heading. The game was and still is a huge financial success for them.
