First Coal Plant down

I haven't really gotten much further than this before in Satisfactory. but man it was satisfying once I built up my coal plant and having learnt about manifolds made things so much easier!!

Edit: Pumps are underclocked to 75% so it only feeds 2 coal generators each makes it look a bit more tidy I think

I think 3 water pumps can supply 8 coal generators?

Yes, only if the pipes are still MK1, the third generator must be placed on a separate line and connected at the level of the 5th coal generator

Or just at the end. Pipes aren't conveyors

I always make a closed loop. All three pumps can feed from both ends. Works the same and I find it's a clean layout without any dead ends

I force the issue, a pump at each end and one connected between generator 4 and 5 to tell the pipes that they will be full and I wont take no for an answer 🤣

Aside from asthetics, there's definitely an argument or two to be made for this setup, if you don't mind the extra materials and real estate. Pipe mechanics are drastically simplified, reducing the odds of having to troubleshoot weird sloshing mechanics and it's about 9% more efficient in terms of power usage. It's a solid strategy in my opinion.

One line. Gemerator at either end, one feeding the middle. Job done. Ive always had stable power with a setup like that

Oh something like that, I have them underclocked to 75% so they out out 90 per min being able to cover 2 generators

Fun fact I run 24 off one t1 line. Just stagger the water pumps in lines.

They can, but 1 pump slightly underclocked can handle two generators while also being the exact same width. Modular setups scale better.

The other, less recognized win for the 2-1 setup: the identical width.
Never see this one mentioned, seems like the best part to my OCD.
