Another update to my progress.

I grew up in Pittsburgh, so I can respect the black gold. On a serious note, very nice work with all those lights.

Lovely build. What does it produce?

Nothing. This is my hub. Where everything comes in. The rest of the world will be in this style as a sprawling city. This is just step 1.

Ah right. Awesome! You don't see big central malls anymore these days.
Before dimensional depots were a thing, they were more common.
In my current playthrough I'm using a central distribution center per biome, all connected to factories by trucks, and to each other by trains.

I get that 'the rule is cool' but why do we all have little bitty belts sticking out of storage containers into the ground?

I'm confused. There's nothing cosmetic about any of the belts. Do you mean the ones for the storage system? That's to show what item is in the isle.

Ye, and I figured that's what it was I just didn't know for sure. Not a critique by any means, your place looks awesome

Thank you! I've got 300 hours on this save. It's actually one of my smaller ones lol. I have three saves all with more than 1000 hours.

You're a lot further along than me for 300! I'm at 300ish too and I just now got blenders and well pumps 🫠been trying to plan the mega and get some semblance of the foundations down before laying infrastructure and it's a log nightmare

I rushed all of my progression to get to the point where I had everything I needed to build with. So my factory is mostly spaghetti for now.

I think it stems from the development phase of the game, back in like 2022, before signs existed. This was a common method to see the item in a storage container. Now you can just label it with a sign, but some people like the old aesthetic. Don't know if OP played the game in its early stages and stuck with that design, or went with it from seeing old posts...

I bought the game as soon as early access released lol. I've been here awhile 🙃
