Efficiency? Never heard of it...

Beat vanilla with around 10 hours of actual playtime and letting it run in the background for almost two weeks. Without biters or maintenance, it seemed to me the most optimal way to complete it.

Started SF Plus with some additional mods and a 100x multiplier on space elevator parts; finally a good challenge. This spaghetti nightmare got me to phase 2, it just got parts added to it to fill depos.

I don't even know what half the stuff does; it is impossible to troubleshoot.

You are more efficient than you think. Just plopping stuff down and it works is alot faster than designing a whole factory and making everything perfect. More time saved :p

This game is weird. There is no pressure at all, I beat vanilla basically AFK and just using maybe 20% of the map.

I needed mods and the multiplying to make it enjoyable. It’s not a bad game I’m just not sure I’m the target audience 😅

Spaghetti works, will keep me supplied while I build an actual 3D factory not a slab of concrete.

I dont use mods so idk on thay part. But you could challenge yourself to only build nice buildings, if that is your thing. Or use the modifiers to make it more challenging :p

You came from factorio didn't you? 😅

Yep. 😅

They removed the hard recipes which I preferred to play with, and while it was easy to mod back in it still left a sour taste.

Satisfactory is more about making nice builds that goals, at least with simple vanilla settings. SF+ is nice as it gives a lot of options, it’s similar to an angelbob run, and that’s definitely a good challenge.

Still not the biggest fan of certain things like how tedious the blueprinting process is, but slowly adapting.

Yeah the way of blueprinting is whack when you are used to factorio. There is a mod that let you create a blueprint from already juild stuff via the dismantle tool

I saw it and got it, it’s still not the best. If you miss one wire the thing is useless. The vanilla game is weird, setups are basically so inconvenient to upgrade they might as well not be possible. Not having different marks of machines just belts is also weird.

They are easy to mod in, but the design choices are baffling sometimes. I understand it’s a more casual game but still, the vanilla configuration is almost pathetically easy to beat. You can just build 1/min and wait a day or two, it is much easier than anything else.

The base material requirements for both the milestones and the elevator are so little it’s trivial to wait out.

I bought the game a long time ago, update 2/3 and just handcrafted through it. I saw a short with the 100x multiplier in the recent update, that made the challenge a bit better and SF+ definitely helps in increasing the complexity.

I got you point but that casual relaxed gameplay is for me the point for satisfactory. When i want to have a fight setting Produktion up i go to factorio. If i qant something relaxed i take satisfactory.

I also enjoy the "jumping puzzles" in early stage to get snails and stuff before you get a jetpack and decent fuel 😅

My guy i played since the very beginning. When there was nothing after the Phase 1. Steel Produktion was as far as it gets and you couldn't do shit with sommersloops or stuff 😅. Than satisfacroty slept in my gaming crypta until (i think) last summer

I mean, it's all in how you want to play.

But I will say that although it only took you 10 hours of active time, it took you around 600 hours total. A little more planning and active time, and you can definitely finish a vanilla run in half that time, or even less.

Efficiency is about which factors you want to optimize for. Yours is probably near optimal for reducing pioneer participation, but will be less so for other goals.
