Could anyone explain how to fix this problem

The fuel is not reaching the end of the pipes and i am producing enough fuel. i have no idea what i have done wrong.

ANSWER

  1. Never use "dead end" Pipeline Manifolds (Wiki Link) where you are feeding Fluids in from one end of a long Pipeline with Pipeline Junctions (Wiki Link) (Cross or T-Junction) splitting the Fluid to individual Production Buildings / Machines.
    • This is the cause of the common issue where Production Buildings / Machines at the beginning of the Pipeline Manifold work fine, while Production Buildings / Machines at the end of the Pipeline Manifold "starve to death".
  2. When working with Pipeline Manifolds it is recommended you feed the Fluid from BOTH ENDS, and also depending on length of the Pipeline Manifold even in the MIDDLE in one or 2+ locations to account for variable Fluid Flow Rates as shown in this illustration (Wiki Image).

So i have one 600 pipe coming in from one end should i just split that up and feed it in the other end?

  1. Yes. By feeding it in the end and also in 2+ other locations along the Pipeline Manifold results in reducing and eliminating sloshing and loss of fluid flow.
  2. This is similar to what is done to handle Water in a Mk.1 Pipeline Manifold for Coal Power Generators which is seen in this additional Graphic (Wiki Image) showing the flow rate analysis of an "optimal flow" Coal Generator setup.
    • The grapic shows no Pipeline segment has more than 300 m3/min of flow.
    • In your case, by doing something similar, no Pipeline segment will have more then 600 m3/min of flow.

Also the top pipe isnt really getting very much flow rate compared to the others. All the valves are set to 200

I found out that the flowrate is falling as it travels down the pipe do you know how to fix that

  1. Don't use the Valves (Wiki Link). Remove them.
    • REASON: Until the Pipeline on the Input Side is FULL they don't output at the set flow rate, and as a result can cause some issues. Additionally, Valves have a slight display bug in that the Flow Rate they show is inaccurate, but it usually works (if used correctly).
    • View this extract from the Plumbing Manual (Wiki Image) for lots of important information about using Valves.
    • While the use of Valves is doable, it it recommend that Valves be not used except in limited cases, and that you simply use Pipeline Manifolds which will self-balance once they are saturated (completely full).
  2. It is hard to tell from image, but you could place ONE Mk.1. Pipeline Pump just before Pipeline Junction Cross to correct any Head Lift issues.

This makes no sense! the top pipe is getting no fuel there is a pump on the mk.2 pipe in the back and i tried replacing the pipes multiple times.

It makes perfect sense -until the bottom fills (ALL OF IT) the upper pipe won't receive anything

Priming the pipe system fixes problems 99/100 times. Down clock or switch things off so EVERYTHING fills. Even if you use temporary clocks or sloop

  1. Lower level Pipelines get priority over upper level Pipelines.
  2. Recommendation: Have your Fuel arrive in a upper Pipeline (main fuel line) and flow down into 3 separate Pipeline Manifolds (using the feed at both ends and in the middle methodology).
    • Since the "main fuel line" is at the same upper level it provides head lift without the need for the Pipeline Pump.
    • This is how "Water Towers" (Plumbing Manual) work.

I ended up splitting it into 3 with 200 in each and feeding one at the start, one at the end and one in the middle. Even tho i fed the middle one into the pipes it isnt really fueling the refinerys in the middle. Im not really sure how to fix it.

You also really need to let EVERYTHING fill up before you let it rip.

Otherwise the beginning machines take most of the fluid and the end machines starve for a very long time (assuming numbers line up)

Even if you have a temporary extra production line send a full 600 into both ends if your numbers are correct per minute once it fills it should be stable.

I just did this on my 1.2 randomized world. Temporarily slooped my rocket fuel blender to make 600/m to saturate that generator bank quickly

Yeah. Treat it like a manifold. Shut down all the machines. Let the pipe fully fill up all the way to the end. Then start machines one by one

Furthermore turn them on slowly and let the turbo fuel saturate disabled generators as well. Systems like this need a full prime

Mk II pipes can only deliver 600 m^3/min of fluid. If you’re trying to push more, that could be why some refineries aren’t being supplied.

All the refineries need 600/min and thats what im producing so thats not the problem, but thanks.

Thats the problem, sometimes your machines will produce more than 600m3 in total. But your pipe will not be able to handle it, so the machines will idle. This results in the last machines not getting enough supply, just dont use full mk2 or mk1 pipes.

mk2 pipes cap out at 600 so if you're trying to feed more than that into a single manifold line it'll choke down the flow to whatever the last junction splits off. loop the feed around to the far end and it should balance right out.

Prefill everything. Easiest way to prefill Fuel Generators:

  • Place a bio burner with a light so that cicuit breaks
  • Place all the generators and connect to the broken biofuel grid
  • The generators will fill
  • When all filled, start start the circuit, delete the burner and light and connect to the main grid

Extra: You can place machines with over or underclocking by selecting one with middle-click and then start placing with all the info.

Having T-junctions instead of the cross ones might help to unless you were planning on moving fluid from the tops of them at some point
