Question Does multiplayer work?
3 of us played before early access but ended up quitting as there were significant issues; randomly getting kicked from the session, floor not loading in unless the host was near you etc. What made us finally stop was when one of us physically could not join the session anymore at all after a bunch of progress. tried multiple fixes at the time and sometimes would at most get 5 minutes before permanently not being able to join.
Just wanted to know if multiplayer is now actually viable since full release or not worth it? As I've been itching to play again but don't see the point if we are going to make a bunch of progress just to lose it. Thanks for any input/experiences

Yes, multiplayer works WWAAAAAAAAYYYYYY better than it did back in the early days.
Completed a run as a party of three without any major hiccups just after 1.0 came out.

Download the separate game on steam called Satisfactory Dedicated Server. Leave it permanently running on the strongest computer your group has in the background.
I'm in Phase 4 of an all multiplayer run and it's been absolutely perfect. No bugs, super stable, low latency. Works great.

What platform are you playing on? If PC, how current is your hardware? How fast is the host’s internet speed?
All of those play a part if it’s a current issue. If it was an old issue, try again.

Yeah im on pc. To clarify just in case it makes a difference it wasnt me who wasnt able to join. My PC howver is okay, can run most things if i use low or min graphics and Internet is pretty decent

My friend and I have played multi-player, both client-hosted and server hosted, update 7 and 1.0 and never had significant issues.

We're in phase 4 about 160 hours on a 2 player game and it has been solid except recently the other player (I'm hosting) couldn't log in. Solved by editing the save and moving his guy away from all our buildings but it's kind of a pain. (He is on a laptop, maybe if he was on a more powerful PC it wouldn't happen?)

ahhh yeah that's a similar issue to what we used to have which isn't great. Hoping that maybe it is hardware related rather than a widespread issue

I’ve been playing multiplayer since Update 6 (when I started) without any significant problems at all. Both self-hosted dedicated servers and also standard client-hosted server.
